How do they test a male for an STD besides a blood test or urine test?

Swab tests.

They basically stick a Q-tip up a man's urethra and collect any fluid they can. They then send it to a laboratory for testing.

Well, it you have any discharge from your organ, the Doc will have it tested for STD's. If not, he/she, based on your symptoms will, more than likely, know what it is. Or, as you mentioned, blood testing . A urine test would not show, specifically, a STD.

They usually only test via blood urine or a swab test. Dont worry too much about it they know what they are doing.

I hope this helps :)
