HPV is for life, so it's she can't "keep getting it" from him. She'll always have it. Although most women are actually able to get rid of the virus on their own (their bodies can sometimes "fight it off"), some women will have it their entire life. HPV is a virus, and there are no cures for viruses.

If she loves him then why would she want to leave him? If she doesn't love him though and wants to leave him then she should! HPV shouldn't hold her back from leaving him.

It's estimated about 75 - 80% of the WORLD will have HPV at some point in their life! It's extremely common!

First of all your friend has HPV for life. The virus will not leave her. Does her boyfriend know he is infected as well? Has been anywhere for treatment? I am a bit confused as to who gave her the vaccine if she already has the virus and how she was led to believe that cleared it up. The vaccine is an attempt to protect those who do not have the HPV virus so that the rates of cervial cancer will go down in patients of this nature. So the answer to your question is yes she is infected, her boyfriend is infected and when they break up anyone they sleep with unprotected will become infected as well. I am sending you a link its a just a fact sheet for HPV virus. Might want to print it out and give it to your friend because it sounds like she is very confused.

Once you get it, you have it. It would be wise for her to require him to use a condom. Some forms of HPV clear up naturally while others can cause cervical cancer. Taking the vaccine after infection does no good. She can even pass the HPV on to a child if they decide to have one.

If she already has it then she can not get it again. Just like with aids and any other stuff that you may catch. I have a friend who thought that he would have hepitiedis c and just last year we found out that he don't have but we both were scared that he had and that he could of passed it on to me but we thank God every day that he don't have it. He was my boyfriend for almost a year then we went our seperate ways.

Yes, because he's the one infected, she will continue to carry it. Even if it lays dormant (unable to detect), you never actually get rid of it. Chances are he had this long before he met her, so no reason to get mad at him.

Basically they are both carriers of the disease.

If she left him; what would that accomplish?
