Hon, fishy odor and discharge are signs of a vaginal infection. Over the counter meds won't work because you need an antibiotic to treat it.
Better get to the dr's office. If you leave it untreated it could get worse leading to infertility sometimes, not counting the smell and the discomfort that you're already experiencing.

Well unfortunately you may not want to go to the doctor but more than likely you will have to. It could very will possible be a bacterial infection in which your doctor will have to give an antibiotic for, or it could very well be an std. You could begin by going to any local store and buying something that is quite new on the market, it's an over the counter device which will tell you if it is a bacterial infection or not. Or if it is the beginning signs of a yeast infection. Which i highly doubt, but i unfortunately can't remember the exact name for this new product. It will however give you somewhere to start.

Sounds like a bacterial infection. Just like everyone else says you HAVE to go to the doctor, it won't go away on it's own, it will just continue to get worse. And if you're sexually active, you need to get tested for STD's as well. Lots of times Chlamydia and Gonorrhea produce a strong vaginal odor as well. So, GO!!! I promise you your Gynecologist has seen much worse, bacterial infections are very common.

If you are having odor like that, you need to see a doctor, because you could have an infection that needs to be treated with antibiotics.. if left untreated it can cause pelvic inflammatory disease... go to the doctor.. they see stuff like that all the time and know what to do... good luck...

Sweetie you really need to see a doctor. It needs to be treated, and the only vaginal infection that you can get OTC drugs for is a yeast infection and you do not mention anything about itching.

Use in basic terms an extremely gentle cleansing soap like ivory on your area, and in no way use scented or deoderant soaps to bathe down there! i discover that if i exploit something different than ivory cleansing soap there i'm getting a bizarre discharge and smell. Douches and sprays can aggravate your section too, and might cut back to rubble your ph stability, so rather dont use those- they are very unneccesary products progressed by potential of adult adult males to terrorize women individuals and cause them to paranoid approximately smell lol. in case you place on scented pantiliners they could additionally reason smell. while you're companies to sweating there, attempt protecting your self as dry as feasible, and bypass to the bathing room once you spot youre moist there and blot your sweat with bathroom paper so it doesnt react and reason that fish smell.

Seeing a doctor isn't optional. It sounds like you have an STD, pelvic inflammatory disease, bladder infection, urinary tract infection, or a yeast infection. You need antibiotics. If you don't get this infection treated it will get into your blood stream and you could die. It could also spread to your kidneys causing kidney failure and death, or into your uterus which could lead to sterility and/or peritonitis and death. Infections don't go away by themselves. You just die from them.

Have you been having sex? That can make you smell fishy and end up pregnant as well.
You need to go to a doctor either way.
