I have had a cough for 3 weeks, maybe more- and the congestion shows up every day after I start my day. At night I do not cough at all. But as soon as I start my day and move around my cough comes back and I hear congestion and sometimes wheezing deep in my chest. I have no shortness of breath....just an ongoing annoying cough. I am on antibiotics too- so it must be viral?

my daughter has been congested for about 3 weeks now. i took her to the doctor last week and they said she had a little fluid in her left ear...but not ear infection. they gave me a antibiotic and some cough medicine. she has been taking the 7 day dose for 3 days and has been running a fever of 99 to 101. i continue to break it but then it later comes right back. is it likely to get a fever taking an antibiotic...she is 2 1\2 years old. i have called her doctors office and they have not returned my call.

I was diagnosed with asthma about 3 weeks ago and I am very confused. I was in school one day and my mom had to come pick me up and take me to the hospitol because I wasnt moving any air. The doctors kept me thier for about 4 or 5 days and said I had chronic asthma. They sent me home with steroids and it didnt really help. Now I am on Advair, Albueteral Nebulizer, a albueteral inhaler, and other meds for sinusitus. I am very sick and out of school now. I am still not under control with my asthma i have to use my inhalers and nebulizers periodicly through out the day. Does anyone have any meications that I should ask my doctor about???? I also wanted to know how many people have CHRONIC asthma not just asthma.

I was diagnosed with Asthma yesterday... the doctors gave me a shot of steroids for the inflammation in my lungs and boy did they ever open up... my question is .. is it normal for steroids to keep you awake? And if it is what can I do to go to sleep because last night was awful...

And can anyone give me any pointers on how I can keep myself breathing better even though I am being treated with Advair and such....

Thanks so much for any help!
