They are all bad, bad and more bad. There is no better or worse.

They are all bad for you (coming from a smoker) but I also read up on this after switching to lights thinking they were better. The strangest thing is .. the "lighter" you go the worse they are. True they don't have all the tobacco but instead they are loaded with even more harmful chemicals. I agree actually rolling your own would be the best but something most smokers don't want to do. So ... full strength of a quality brand is actually best .. although I can just feel tons of people reading this thinking how awful it is that I am saying one cig is better than the other...

When it comes to widely distributed and popular brands, American Spirit is not bad. They do not contain the chemicals and additives that other brands do. From a website:

"Additive Free Tobacco. The Tobacco used in Natural American Spirit Cigarettes is 100% free of additives, containing only whole leaf natural tobacco... no preservatives, no reconstituted sheet tobacco, no processed stems and no expanded tobacco. Light 5 mg Tar 0.6 mg Nicotine. Regular 12 mg Tar 1.6 mg"

I smoke them, and I think they are great, Marlboro's for instance make me feel ill at times, I would say Marlboro Red's are one of the worst containing 16 grams of tar, but I have found another website claiming Unfiltered Camels have 25!!! Perhaps, Camels are the worst?

There is none. I'm 49 my husband died 6 years ago and I have only got 13 percent of my lung capacity now. It's not worth it. don't start or set on your hands until you don't want one anymore. It's a miserable slow death. I will never see my grandchildren marry and my son will have lost both parents one at 19 and one not to long from now.

There's not a large scale of harmful to harmless regarding cigarettes.

You could roll your own with plain tobacco, which doesn't have a myriad of chemicals in it; but it would still be harmful.

The least harmful would be an imaginary cigarette, then a candy cigarette. Bad ones have tobacco and the worst ones have tobacco and cloves.

My friend, I'm only calling you that because I was in your position at one time. Don't look for a cigarette that will appease your appetite for smoking. It's not good for you to start with.
I smoked for 48 years, I ended up with six bypasses in my heart from smoking. I almost died, quit now. There are no good cigarettes out there.

There r none, they r all equally bad for u....lights, full flavor, filtered, unfiltered, all contain tar and nicotine. For god sake, if u don`t smoke, DON`T start. This is coming from a heavily addicted cigarette smoker, who wishes she had never lite the first one.
