I’ve just been told by the GP that my toddler (18 months) might have asthma, not confirmed. I’m thinking of giving him soya milk instead of cow’s milk because cow’s milk increases phlegm production which does not help if you have asthma. However I know cow’s milk is much better for building strong bones and is a good source of calcium. My toddler is quite a fussy eater and I have to hide vegetables in his food most of the time. Any suggestions, your help is appreciated.

He lives in a 3 bedroom house and has 3 freezers full of food in the garage. He has a refridgerator/freezer full in the kitchen and when his daughter moved out earlier this spring, she left a refridgerator and he has filled it full of stuff. He has a pantry overflowing with outdated canned goods and last winter he bought 2 shelving units and has them stacked to the top with all kinds of food and just bought about 14 cans of tomato juice.
I went to the store with him about 2 weeks ago, and they were having a sale on pomegranite juice, Instead of buying 5 or 6, he bought 7 cases. He says it is very nutritious and he plans to drink it all. I had to go to the grocery store last week and when I asked him if he needed anything,he asked me to bring him 2 boxes of cereal. He has about 10 boxes sitting on top of his pantry full.
I am afraid to eat at his house because I worry about outdated foods and food poisoning.
Why is he doing this? Is it a mental illness?

I walk a lot and am on my feet constantly. Now my knee is bothering me and I cannot decide whether to go to the doctor to have it checked out or to just wait and see if it goes away.
Crazy enough, I am a nurse, but orthopedics is not my specialty.
What should I do?

Any ideas why? Any suggestions on how to help to relieve him. I am planning on calling the doctor in the morning, but tonight seems especially bad. He is ok during the day AFTER he coughs when he first gets up and gets it out of his system... but it seems to be getting worse every night...

coughing until stomach hurt

Does anyone else out there have a cough that won't go away? And a lot of mucous in their chest? And plugged ears and nasal congestion for over 3 weeks? My cough kicks in around noon- and then I can sleep fine at night without medicine- I usually take Benedryl and that is it- but in the daytime I take a decongestant. My doc put me on antibiotics and I am on my last day of them- still no results from that so it must not be bacterial. Anyone else have this? It is really driving me insane. I am beginning to think I have some rare disease....

everytime my four yr.old hurts herself and begins to cry she stops breathing and loses control of her bladder, she begins to turn purplish and will start jerking her arms and legs as if trying to breathe then her body will go limp and her eyes will close.she then starts breathing again and opens her eyes but then she'll look around disoriented before she starts to cry normal or whimper.she's been doing this since she was a baby and doctors say its a tantrum thing but i don't agree i've never seen anything like this before can anybody shed some light on this!

If the person smokes and is a little sick at the time that happened.. is it something dangerous u think?

I stopped smoking 2 weeks ago, after 30 years of killing myself . mostly because I was coughing so much ,The mornings were the worst but through-out the day I would cough alot too . Now that I have quit it seems like I'm coughing even more. is my body trying to clean it self ?will it go away? I know most people will say to see a doctor ( not happening) they only want your money and to give a percription that cost even more money.
I know the coughing wont go away like magic and it will take some time ,I was just wondering about how much time . I also realize that the damage may already be to far and that no amount of time will change anything I look forward to hearing from you . dreamcatcher
