OK... I know this is going to be hard. But sometimes we just need to do things that are painful. Take 3 days away from your life, lock yourself in your house, get some ice chips, a load of water, and absolutely any food you want to eat (any food because that's your gift for doing it). It will be painful but I promise you, after 3 days, you're going to feel better and you'll get that out of your system.
Then, get online and join a support group. In fact, do it while within the 3 days. Exercise. Go for a jog every time you want a smoke. Do some yoga. It's just 3 hard days. And how many of those have we had without being in control of them.
I'm not going to lecture you. I'm sure you're about to hear an earful from the folks on here. I think you know that you have got to do this for both of you. BTW, Have you talked to your doc abou this?

It's really hard to quit, no matter what, but you can do it!
On the science side of things - your hemoglobin carries oxygen throughout your body and to your developing baby. If your hemoglobin has the chance to carry carbon monoxide instead, it will - each and every time. It has a better bond with hemoglobin than does oxygen. So with every puff, instead of oxygen being circulated around the body - carbon monoxide gets circulated. Why is it a big deal? Well, you can breathe oxygen in between puffs, but the baby can't - it relies on you completely for everything from nutrition to air.
Keep trying and get the support of your OB - he/she can help recommend ways to quit and things that are helpful/safe. Good luck and congratulations on the pregnancy!

Find a picture of a thin-chest baby (the most unhealthy one). Look at that picture over and over when u're about to smoke. U will stop if u realize what will happen to ur baby if u keep on smoking. Hope it helps.

Just type in your search bar www.whyquit.com and click on to site #4 - Smoking Kills - Bryan's Story - He wanted you to know. The picture and story alone is sad enough to make you want to quit! Mentally replace the photo of Bryan with yours and your husband and baby looking at you during your time of death!
Another person inYahoo Answers wrote about this site and just looking at it changed my life! I can't imagine my husband and son having to sit by my hospital bed and watch me die like that! It was quite the incentive to quit! Good Luck!
