Well NOT to scare you...but my brother died in April...end result was he had asthma. But wasn't aware of it, you are!
DO not be around smoke or irritants, when cleaning use a mask or open windows.
DO educate yourself about it
DO have emergency numbers handy
Do eat healthy (promise it helps)
Educate close people around you
Find out EVERYTHING you can about it!!!!!!! Education is the biggest!!!
But if you get to where you can not breathe DO NOT LAY FLAT ON YOUR BACK!!!!...that was his fatal mistake.
But please get good rest, becareful if you have pets they may irritate it. Get an air purifier! Ionic! Some foods trigger attacks. STUDY STUDY STUDY! But remember everyone is different....keep a diary of YOUR specific triggers as some are just seasonal, some all year and some just associated with environment! So becareful and take GOOD care. There's also breathing exercises you can do ask your doctor all this to....
PREVENTION!!!!!!!

One of the strongest and less known treatmentes is the hemo-therapy, wich consists or withdraw a small portion of blood from your body and apply it in your muscle. It was used before other medicine been developed, with 99% success against post surgery inflammation. There are no know side effects. It is used for all kinds of problems, from cold to cancer, from infection to AIDS. The way it works cound't be simpler. The body reacts against the intrusion of the "strange" organic body (our blood) sending an order do the brain to improve the defense system. Therefore, the proportion of the defense cells in the blood increases up to 5 times, and decreases after the 5th day. That is why it should be done once a week.
If it works? Yes, it is proved that this treatment works. There are many respected institutions already using it, against all kinds of misfunctions.

You can ask your doctor to make you a prescription, or you can ask your trusted nurse to do that. You can find out more about this subject in the web. Just search in Google for Hemotherapy.
I hope It has been useful.

You'd have to be aware of what triggers it. I am asthmatic since child, but it went away after puberty. Yet every now and again, it comes back and I am always aware of the trigger. It can be anything. Dust. Allergies. Breathing too quickly in cold conditions. Drinking too much cold drinks. Etc. So, the best bet is to be aware of what causes your asthma and try to stay away from it.

there's something called black seed oil which is very nutritious and has a lot of healing properties. Drink half a spoon of it mixed with half a cup of warm water and rub some on your chest. I've been doing this for my 3 year old and we don't feel the necessity to use the nebuliser or visit the doctor anymore. You can do a google search on it.

watch your stress level -- sometimes stress can cause asthma attacks. holiday season adds more stress on people -- stay focused on your breathing -- breath in thru your nose and out thru your mouth when feeling short of breath -- also remember take your albuterol inhaler and use this with an aero chamber this helps placement of medicine.
