I have been having episodes of vertigo for going on 10 years now. They happen sporadically, usually once ever 3-4 months. The attacks last for anywhere from 12-24 hours. When I have an attack, I am so dizzy that I cannot stand or walk. I am completely indisposed. All I can do is lie on one side and wait for the dizziness to stop. I have had many tests done, including a CT scan, MRI, blood tests, hearing tests,(however I have perfect hearing), allergy tests. Not one doctor has definitively given me a diagnosis. The attacks are not brought on by sudden head movements. The only indication that I have beforehand is I have a feeling of pressure in one ear. Sometimes, I can't hear very well out of the one ear. Then a day of two later, I have the attack, unless I take a diurectic to relieve water retention and ibuprofen for inflammation. Does anyone else have this problem? I have had doctors tell me that it was Meniere's Disease, migraines, allergies or maybe a neurological disorder. Help!

hey my girlfriend and her mother have an extremely weird disease and i want to help so bad but the doctors don't even know what it is. i wish someone could help them so bad but i guess they won't be able to find out what's wrong with them until her mother dies. I believe there is a problem with their immune system. they are rarely hungry, they get an upset stomach all the time and sometimes her mother shakes and has bad headaches and sometimes seizures. someone please help.

My friend (29) just got married and after some months will carry an erection for more than 24hrs. Also, what connection does it have with excess white blood cells in the body?

I'm 21 years old and in the last year and a half have had 4-5 episodes of this happening. It will start off with losing a small spot in my vision missing to nearly my whole peripherial in one eye, and then my hand/arm will go numb as well as my mouth and I have a hard time remembering small things like people's names or thinking clearly. The first time this happened I had a CT scan, with no results of blood clots, and it isn't ever followed or proceeded by a headache. I've got an appt with a neuorologist scheduled but any ideas as to what I should be looking for?

On Aug 1 my husband had laparscopy gall bladder removal ( 3 point incision) he was sent home in as perfect to be expected condition. but he has been living in hell since. he cant work, cant sit or stand or walk for more the 15 min at a time. he is in tremendeous pain all the time. has trouble breathing. his stomache is incredably swollen...cant even put on his shoes. they cant find whats wrong. the have done xrays labs cortazone shots..the whole 9 and yet everything is "normal" he had a CT scan today but we wont have results for a few days. im racking my brain trying to stay on top of the doctors...i just dont believe that this is ok. he has no quality of life anymore and the whole family is suffering. does anyone have a similar story or any ideas of what they may be able to look for next? please help!

I went to a urologist a few years ago because of chronic bladder infections and symptoms when an infection wasn't present. He found nothing, when he did a cystoscope test which hurt like hell. I am still experiencing symptoms, but I don't want to go back to the Urologist and get this horrible test done. I read online that they sometimes use, an epedural to do this or, anestesia, or sometimes local annestetic. All doctors I have been to do it in their office with a local anestetic which didn't do anything last time. How can I find a dr who will give me an epidural or knock me out to do this?!!!

I always feel drowsiness throught the day. Not even a nap can refresh my drowsiness. It is wierd. But to start out say I sleep 8 hours and as I wake up I don't feel refresh. I start to get drowsy all over again and need to sleep. Then when I finally get up I start to get drowsy and have a tendency to sleep again. I also feel lethargic and low energy. My muscle seem to feel weak too! Like I lost strength in my arms. What concerns me is I don't know what caused this. I've seen many doctors which includes a sleep specialist, psychologist, and a psychiatrist. They did many test and still haven't found out the cause. They prescribe me Provigil and I still feel drowsy even with that medicine in effect. Think of it as me not alert, but my heart is beating as if I were active but as for me feeling drowsy and need to sleep. I was also giving a CPAP machine I've used it for 5 months now and the drowsiness still attacks me. What can I do? Any information can be helpful. Thanks.

I mean... just THINK about it. All the person needs to do is get a life and eat normally, while giving no thought to it. And do lots of other things in life that are fun, so as to keep their minds off of it. Right?

I eat very little refined sugars--mostly just honey. I eat veggies, rice, meat--all healthy. Anytime I eat more than one or two cookies sweetened with brown sugar, or a little too much honey (really not excessive amounts) in the evening, I get pulsations in my stomache, twitching muscles, have difficulty sleeping, and wake up with sore muscles, bloating, and a foggy feeling as if I haven't slept that stays with me all day--along with excessive hunger and/or an inability to eat much without getting bloated or having sympotoms recur. interesting, eh? I also have hypoglycemic symptoms from time to time, am hypothyroid with other food intolerances (milk, wheat, etc.) and underweight. 27 yr old female in distress.
