I'll tell you something when I was 15 I felt fat and when I looked in the mirror I was just disgusted and I weighed about 100 looking back of course I wasn't big but it snow balled. It started very innocently that I just wanted to lose 10 pounds and I didn't eat or if I did it wasn't very much and I did lose the 10 pounds (that I didn't need to lose) then it just took over after I saw and people making comments how sick I looked and trying to get better was so much harder then losing the weight!!! Eating a normal size plate of food was like a marathon you stomach actually does shrink and after eating 2 bites I felt so full and so sick I couldn't eat. I was 20 years old and weighed 86 pounds! It was totally not worth what my body went thru and my family worried I could collapse of heart failure at anytime. Please ask for help
Take care you only have 1 life

Well, I'll tell you something, even if you were 150 pounds, you wouldn't be fat. Especially since you are going to grow in height to distribute weight more evenly as you get older. Don't be afraid hon, just let yourself grow naturally, infact, put on a few pounds, 90 is tiny. lol.My girl is alot taller then you (because shes older) but weighs atleast 60-70 pounds more then you, and is in perfect shape. You still have growing to do, don't sweat it, you'll be fine.

honey you're already an underweight. The normal weight in 5'2 should be 110 -135 lbs. That is according to body mass index. There are some alternative ways to get fit. But this time, you should focus on your health because you're considered anorexic. The nutrients in your body is inadequate. Eat foods high in Carbohydrates, Protein, Have vitamins in your hands. After attaining the normal weight then, its time for you to maintain the ideal weight of 110 lbs. Good luck

90 pounds, while underweight for your height, isn't *bad* bad. But it is cause for worry.

Have a heart-to-heart talk with your parents, Honey. And another piece of advice: Stay away from the television: That thing is programing you to think 'Super Skinny is Good' when in fact it isn't.

Good luck.

If you're worried about talking to your parents, you can go to your school nurse or guidance councilor and they will help you both to figure out what about gaining weight bothers you and also how you can effectively bring it up to your parents.

Here are some sites that will also help you, that I recommend taking a look at before you speak to anyone, so that you can have a better understanding of anorexia and it's effects:

http://www.anorexiahelp.net/

http://www.healthyplace.com/Communities/Eating_Disorders/self_help_3.asp

http://www.something-fishy.org/

Please look at these sites today and talk to your family as soon as possible.

Best of luck.

[you're welcome. i hope everything works out.]

if you're only 11, i doubt you have anything to worry about. i've always been a small person, but i know i'm not anorexic, i eat like a horse! if you still have concerns, i hope you have trusting parents that you can go to for advice.

Usually found in girls----loss of appetite. Psychological feeling where the patient refuses to eat because of a FEAR of BECOMING FAT. Hope this may help you.

You're only anorexic if you don't eat foods because you're concerned about your weight.
If you're eating then you're fine.
But if you're puking your foods up, that's a different story.
That's bulimia.
