I am on an antifungal medicine that is working well, but it's giving my constipation. My bowels will not move no matter how much water I drink. I have to stay on this medicine.

Colace. It is actually a stool softener than a laxative, but it is the only thing that doesnt make me feel worse.

Milk of Magnesia or some generic form of the same. Hospitals have been using it because doctors have been prescribing it for years. It's "gentler" on the system.

Addendum a few hours later: "Itsmeee" has left a very complicated answer that doesn't sound like the sorts of thing I would want to go through.

M. of. Mag can be taken one evening before bed. If no results, it can be safely repeated the next night. And you don't "explode" either.

After that, make sure you are getting enough fiber in your diet. Look for cereals high in fiber, just about any fresh fruit (esp. grapefruit), and fiber rich veggies like corn, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, etc. Oatmeal every day is a good way to keep the, ah, "bowel blockage gremlins" from coming back. LOL! But, it works!

prunes or prune juice, oranges or orange juice - quite a bit of any of these to get a good effect if its been a couple days.
Or I just had a baby and after this one and my first i had dreadful constipation - like a week at a time - and i used senokot. Painful the first time but really does work. However you can buy one that the hospital give you if you had a groin hernia its called lactulose and is in liquid form the chemist will know what you mean. its really cheap but severely powerful - like diareah after 1tsp for a lot of people. I was desperate but no way did i go down this route
goodluck and hope something works.
If not see a GP on monday if u cant get anything to work it is vital you do something. Mine prescribed supositries but they were horrid so switchedto senokot. Sometimes the senokot can take a couple days to work but if its been a while take 3. U arent supposed to but it sure worked for me then i went to 2 once i had been
