Okay I just had surgery wed. to remove a nasal polyp. Im wondering if it would be ok to go to my high school football game tonight? The reason I ask is because it will be in the 40's tonight and my mom says it wouldnt be smart to go out in that cold weather when im not completely healed...

no definitely not a good idea.. i work at an internal medicine office..
and you dont want to risk infection!! wait til your healed up a little more before you have prolonged exposures to the cold weather. Your nose already has a extreme amount of bacteria in it, so you dont want to expose that to more potential bateria!

Doctors cannot make recommendations if they haven't examined you or without being familiar with your particular situation. If you want to convince your mom its OK to go the the ballgame, get on the phone and call the doctor's office.

As a mom I would agree with your Mom. but if you don't want to listen, call your doctor.
