My mother in law was in the hospital for about a week in January and a week in Februrary. The first time for fluid on her lungs and the second time, in February, for what we were told was her blood pressure was sky high. She woke up throwing up and wouldn't stop. So, a month after she got out, she is still real sick and she wont take her medicine and rarley takes her insulin for her diabetes. She won't have hospice or any type of in home nurse come in and help.. She relies on myself and her son to do it. She's having memory loss, constant pain, always talks about dying and wanting to be with her late husband. She can not hold her urine and hardly has a bowel movement. I don't know what to do. I don't know how to comfort her. Oh. And she's always drinking something and is constantly hungry. But never wants anything here to eat. What do I do?? Please Help! Anything is helpful..

Could I still have anemia if I eat meat? I have meat maybe every day, or more. But then again, I don't eat ANY type of vegetable except corn, potatoes, and carrots. Basically, I don't eat anything green.

It was suggested that I have Anemia, so I'm just wondering.
thanks for the help!

-always being cold (and I mean always) and having cold sweats,
-extreme excessive amounts of sleep, (17-18 hours in one night every night)
-irritability,
-fatigue,
-light-headedness and having to sit down so i don't pass out.

and that's about it.
Do you think I have some sort of disease? It's not my period or anything, it's been going on for a long time.

thanks for the help.

feeling rather "DOWN", kind of meloncholly. Like just ho-hum.

Asked for something for "anxiety". was not depressed. Now wondering if this is a side effect. Been about a week.

It doesn't happen often, but sometimes my brain will actually pulse and I'll get this wave of dizziness that'll cause me to stop for a few seconds to regain my concentration. They don't really hurt, they're just really annoying.

Does anyone else suffer from this? Anyone got any idea what causes it? I don't think it's stress, since the pulses happen sometimes when I'm very relaxed.

So.......any ideas?

I'm a 20 year old male. I've been having problems with cold and numb hands/feet. It bothers me so much that it's hard to fall asleep. I went to the doctors and they tested my hemoglobin and thyroid and she said that turned out fine. What else could be causing the problem? Do i have to live with this? She's also sending me to an orthopedic and get tested for hepatitis c-just cuz i had tattoos. Anyways...thanks in advance for the replys.

that is what I have. I have been running a high fever for the past couple days, and I have had the worst headache in my life.Monday the headache started, and I thought I was coming down with the flu. Then Tuesday evening my ear started throbbing, I could hear and feel the pulsations, and it was pretty painfull. My eyes felt like they were about to explode, like there was a ton of pressure on them. Wednesday I went to the doctors thinking I had an ear infection or something, and my neck, face, eyes and glands started swelling. It's very strange becuase I dont have any nasal congestion or a sore throat. I started taking anti-biotics wednesday night. Last night I was having all the same symptoms but with a higher fever and I woke up in the middle of the night and vomited out of nowhere, but I didnt feel nausous! Then just now my eyes started tingling and I looked in the mirror to see blood blisters under my left eye! This is very bizzare, please tell me what you think it is

The doc said my son has 40 decibel loss in his left ear and 25 decibel loss in the right. The doc did find an ear infection in the right ear which means after treatment my son could get the hearing back on the right. My question is what does the doc mean????? What does 40 decibel loss equal in layman terms?

For as long as I can remember, I have been a "sleepy head". During my teen years, I chocked it up to the fact that all teenagers are tired. As soon as I would get home from school, i would take a very deep 2-4 hour nap. Then off to bed again a few hours later.
Now that I'm an adult, I have found that nothing has changed. I feel that I sleep well at night. I usually get somewhere between 7-8 hours of sleep a night. But I wake up like I never slept at all. On a rare occasion I have woken up gasping for air, I realize this could be Apnea. But i don't snore that badly according to my husband. If I am not engaged in something interesting, I will fall asleep at work. I do not want to go out with friends after work, b/c my number one priority is sleeping.
I am getting so frusterated. About 2 months ago, I was told by my dr to stop drinking caffeine b/c of a kidney infection. This is when I really started to notice my problem.

I've only just begun having migraine headaches, I started getting them when I was 16. At first they were pretty few and far between, but by the time I started my senior year of high school I was getting 3 or 4 a week. I've been seeing a neurologist since, he's the top in his field, I have no known external triggers, (i.e. food, sunlight, smells etc) and so far nothing has worked for the pain. (I've been on Imitrex, zomig, axert, darvocet, vicodin, midrin, demerol, dilaudid, talwin, hydrocodone/Norco, fioricette with codeine and oxycodone hydrochloride to date.) I'm on a prophylactic (Norvasc) but lately I've been having many a week again. Does anyone know what I should do next??

My BP is Yo-Yo-ing all over the place. I have arm cuff and finger monitors both are digital. I take it one after the other and it changes drastically on both. From up to 160 over up to 110 but lowers off and on to 113/64 or 132/75 up to about 84. I'm concerned about this as it differs from the way I hold my hand or arm while monitoring. In an upward position, it's lowest and holding in downward is when it's highest. How should I do this and is there a correct way and why does it make a difference, I'm so confused over this. However BP is usually always in normal ranges...no matter how I position my hand or arm depending on the monitor used. Any responses greatly appreciated. No money for doc visits and no insurance.
