My father started taking it on Tues, and he also, started taking Prednisone at the same time, (he has COPD and was having alot of depression/anxiety)
The Lung Dr said to continue the steriods no matter what because he's breathing better,
We are waiting for the Family Dr to call back, she is the only Dr working right now(we are in a very small, icy town)in the meantime, my dad is in a real panic???
Any help?

Paxil can be an extremely dangerous drug, I'm actually writing a paper on it right now. The link I left below is the drug overview, but I'm not sure if you can access it without being a student at my college.

Anyways, according to that website... "Dangerous and even fatal reactions are possible when Paxil is combined with thioridazine (Mellaril) or drugs classified as monoamine oxidase (MAO) inhibitors, such as the antidepressants Nardil and Parnate. Never take Paxil with any of these medications, or within 2 weeks of starting or stopping use of an MAO inhibitor."

it doesn't say anything about steriods, but that doesn't mean that it couldn't be dangerous. If I were your dad, I would suggest that he just lay off the paxil (it's been known to actually induse psychological disorders when not taken correctly/taken with other drugs) until he knows for sure that he's in the clear.

The less drugs the better off he will be... If he is open minded there are supplements he can take for relaxation and sleep.
There's one called rest ease and kavakava for an extra boost in his sleep... Sounds like he has to take the steroids and unfortunately they wind you up tighter then a top...Good luck!
