Sorry about the dirty homo above. What a wanker eh?
It is a good question. It sounds like a fungal infection and you have probably had it a while. No black polyester socks EVER! My guys socks could freestand due to the fungal crust. He uses Ketosol, I think that is what it is called , and "mirical feet" lotion.
You will most likely have to get new shoes ans socks and start "fresh". My guy had treated the funk but it kept comming back because he was not willing to give up his olde Ponys.
And by the way the mental giant above is clearly arrogant and ignorant at once. The fact is, no matter how clean your feet are...if you have a fungal infection it will get happy about heat and sweat and come out to let itself be known when you play or at the end of the day. Please go see your dr.
Peace and good luck!

My dear, the fowl smell is due to sweating of feet but that is not any problem. The problem is that this sweat is not absorbed.
Being sport man U can't do without sports shoes so the only remedy is :- Replace the PATAM ( a piece of rubber or cloth between sole and feet) with a pure leather one. This would absorb sweat and LO the smell is gone. Feel confident and go ahead.

whenever u play or exercise, body salts along with water comes out as sweat .sweat too emits smell but foul smell is due to bacterial action occuring in that region as it's not exposed to aeration.

usage of deo's or soaps that can decrease this bactericidal action .
and above all the diet u eat also effects.

Consume a glass of potato and cabbage juice on alternate days in the morning and drink at least 5 litres of water daily. In the evening, make it a point to drink tea of fenugreek seeds. Your problem should become less in course of two to three months.
