Firstly, I'm really sorry to hear about your auntie, this must be a very difficult and worrying time for you and your family. Not all brain tumours are malignant (cancerous) - naturally if the tests come back showing the tumour is benign (non-cancerous) that can only be a good thing. However, as the brain is such a sensitive organ, any growth in there can cause big problems, causing things like loss of signt or speech or paralysis etc. Sometimes though, these things can be successfully operated on dependent on where in the brain the tumour is located and you are right, it doesn't help to always look on the black side. People can and do survive these things - I truly hope your auntie will come through this.

Hey, an aggressive benign brain tumour, is not as dangerous as a cancerous one. Cancerous cells can spread through the body, however the benign tumours do not spread they just grow. They grow at different speeds so therefore the agressive is probably referring to the speed that it is growing at. My mum had 2 benign brain tumours, and had them both taken out by surgery and was fine afterwards, made a very quick recovery.

It's dangerous but in a different way. An aggressive benign (non-cancerous) brain tumor is a problem because the term "aggressive" means it grows. The only way to deal with it is to remove it, and any brain surgery is very risky. However, if the surgeons can successfully remove the tumor you're done -- no chemo or radiation therapy needed, as you may have to undergo with a cancerous brain tumor.

Aggressive implies it is growing, that means it is putting pressure on the brain tissue, blood vessels, can be very dangerous, how did you find out, ask the person who said it is a aggressive tumour to give you more detail.

If it cuts out the blood to the brain a person can die in 5 minutes.

Run to the doctor, ask Qs?

Yes, it is a cancerous brain tumor.

There are 2 major types of cancer tumors

Benign - Isolated and non rapildly spreading tumor.
Malignant - Rapidly spreading and growing tumor that can spread to other parts of body.

Aggressive benign sounds like a isolated tumor that is growing quickly and harshly.

I would think any tumor on the brain would be dangerous. It will take blood from the brain and crowd it.

Just my thoughts on it I have no medical knowledge.
