Can having water in the ear for a long time (like 1/2 days) cause some kind of infection?

2007-01-30 04:56:34 · 12 answers · asked by Anonymous

I often have severe stomach pain that gives me cramps all night. After some diarrhoea and vomiting, I would feel better. 2 weeks ago I got one that migrated to lower right side the next day, I went to ER, at first they thought it was acute appendicitis, I had pain in lower right abdominal when pressed down and on rebound. However, my white blood cell counts was normal, no fever, and the CT scan came back normal with a slight thickening of a part of walls in the intestine. Basically, I was fine...

It has been 2 weeks now, and suddenly, I can feel pain there again... it's strange though, it doesn't hurt when I press down on it. Once, it felt like there's air moving inside. It usually hurts when I make a sudden move.

The doctor that saw me at the ER have't returned my call yet, and I'm afraid to go there and waste hundreds of dollars and they can't figure out what's causing it... Hope someone on Yahoo had similar experience & can help... Thanks.

Yesterday I awoke with a headache and fatigue, after an entire night with the headache. As the day progressed, all my muscles started to ache and I had less and less energy. By evening I was shivering terribly and knew I had a fever. It was only 100, but by midnight it was 101.3. I took ibuprofen and went back to bed. I soon started sweating profusely and woke with normal temperature. I still have body aches, a runny nose, and I feel exhausted, but no fever. What would cause a sudden spike like that?

My cycles are normall every month and this is the first time this has happened to me. on top of that I occasionally have headaches that last for a week, literally. I have no insurance at the moment, actually I have to wait for my card but until then i just would like for your opinion.

i have been active with my bf all of november but i know I am not pregnant. i dont feel pregnant and all my pregnancy urine test both at home and at planned parenthood are all neg. So I rule that one out. But as far as the late period and headahces I dont know what to say. Please if you know any information or related experience please feel free to share. Thank you.

i am 14 and at home sick. i had a sore throat, bad chest and back pains, and my eyes felt like they were being strained yesterday. today i have back pains, ear ache, some coughing and sneezing, and i think their is mucus in my head. these last two days i havn't had a fever. when my ear aches my back begins to ache, its like a line of pain from my ear to my lower back. my aunt, mom, and grandma think i may have walking pneumonia, but i sort of doubt that, i've done some research and back pains have nothing to do with it. i know it is not an STD or STI because i am a virgin. please help me because if i need a doctor i want to go A-SAP to keep things from gettijg seroius. thanks for your help.

Would a duodenal ulcer create masses of trapped wind in the intestines/bowels, causing bad cramps and pain (and misery LOL)?

Or is that more likely to be a bad food intolerance / sensitivity of something I've eaten the last few days?

Thanks,

Lee.

I'm a liver transplant candidate and advocate for organ donation. I live in Pensacola, FL and I have a contact at a Lynchburg, Virginia TV station that is interested in doing a series of segments on organ donation in the up-coming weeks. April is Organ Donor Awareness Month. They are looking for local individuals to feature on there morning show; receipents of an organ, someone on a waiting list, doctors, surgeons that perform tranplants, etc.

You can contact me at rmp64155@yahoo.com with your profile and I will forward it on to the TV station.

It's like deep surface soreness and heating pad makes it more painful. Skin doesn't look any different but cold hurts, too.

About a week ago, I went to the doctor and found out I have an infected pilonidal cyst, and I was instructed antibiotics and use hot compresses/take hot baths. I'm about halfway through my treatment for the antibiotics, but not feeling much better.

I've noticed that the area immediately around the cyst looks like it's bruising. Is this normal? What did I do wrong? The doctor was poking at it, could that have caused it?

I took Zoloft for about 1 year and tappered off it. My question is however, what do others do who still have problems with anxiety? I don't feel I need medication everyday but I do need help with anxiety sometimes, are their meds that you can take only when you feel anxiety coming on?

When I wake, even after 6-8 hrs sleep, I have no balance. I stumble like a drunk. It's almost like my legs refuse to work properly, along with being dizzy. Yesterday, I nearly face-planted into the concrete in my basement bedroom (ouch!) and shortly after recovering, I fell forward into the bookshelf. Today, I fell again, on my way through the kitchen, and would up being stabbed by a stray pencil. I'm just thrilled it wasn't a knife or something lying out. This is really scary, and the last two days aren't the only times, just good examples. I get dizzy other times during the day, but not like this. I also have gotten dizzy while sitting down, for no obvious reason. I have fainted before, as well, but it's been quite a while since that happened. I've been tested for anemia and thyroid problems, but both tests were normal. Any help would be much loved. I also tend to feel "sick" all the time, which is an overall blah feeling more than a definable sickness. Again, any help would be great

Death was so easy, cheap and acceptable without these hospitals and doctors who are busy doing quackery and experiments on everyone. Most of the treatments provided by modern medicine do not provide significant survival advandage, are very costly and are worse than the disease.
