This is an innocent problem that affects most people at some time in their lives. If someone becomes aware of a twitching below the eye it's usually when they're worried about something or have something on their mind. It's extremely common when someone is under pressure or being stressed by something, by work for example.
When this is the case it's important to find out what the real problem is and to sort it out. It might be that you're not happy in your current job or have a problem with your relationship.
As far as the twitch is concerned, the best thing to do is to try and ignore it and it will go away. The problem is that worrying about it only makes it worse, so you become trapped in a vicious cycle.
It's not caused by using your computer, but you may find that the twitching becomes worse if you're under stress while working at your computer, or if you have too much work or deadlines to meet.
To avoid possible computer-related problems, don't sit in front of the screen for more than 20 minutes without taking a break, have your eyes tested regularly by a good optician, and ensure the screen isn't too bright.

The cause of eye lid twitching is unknown. However it is called in medical terms essential blepharospasm. It happens as stated above when you are in a stressful situation, but it can also happen when you are tired. Blepharospasm is caused by abnormal nerve impulses producing muscle spasms, and almost never a psychiatric disease. I have this happen to me too, but it does go eventually go away. It doesn't occur that often. When it does happen try to take a break and close your eyes and lay a warm wet rag or towel on your eye for about 5 minutes.

My eye twitches when I am tired. A good sleep should cure it. It drives you mad though as you feel like you are winking at everybody!

An old myth says,,,, it's because you will surely cry before the day is out.
I think it's just something the nerves do when they are not happy.
