I had chest xrays done, no Pneumonia, no allergies, no high blood pressure. I did smoke for 15 years and stopped about 11 years ago. I started smoking for two months due to stress. I recently stopped. This cough started when I started smoking again now it wont go away.

Also known as Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus. I have been diagnosed and would like information about how to continue life unchanged as much as possible: caring for children, sex with spouse, bathing, etc. Also, if anyone knows about any new medicines on the horizon that I could recommend for my doctor to try out, that would be great. Please help! Thank you!

It is hard for me to chew because my ear hurts like a sword pain. Also it feels like it may pop or something, it's like something is moving in my ear. When I open my mouth and shut it many times, I hear something like grinding.

Okay, here is is, disgusting question of the day:

If you have a cold, the germs are in your snot, right? What happens if you pick your nose and eat it while you have a cold, it's like eating germs, right? Like, you'd never get rid of your cold, right? That's so gross...

I'm wondering if an early morning surgery slot is better than a late afternoon one, versus any other time. Will the surgeon be too sleepy early in the a.m., or too tired late in the afternoon? Is late morning (2nd or 3rd slot?) any better, with the assumption that the surgeon is "into the groove" of the day's work? I know later slots run higher chance of delays. I'm just looking for some discussion or opinion. What do people out there think?

I keep seeing these studies that find a gene for this or that problem behavior. It makes me wonder.... Is there any hope of getting out of destructive behavioral patterns if you tell people that it is genetic? Why must we keep shifting the blame? Can't we just deal with the fact that we all have problems and it builds character to overcome our problems?

It started with a cold and got raspy- then a few days later I couldn't be heard but it gradually came back, except that I never got my voice back completely --it is still raspy and I dont normally have a raspy voice. Two weeks without my normal voice isn't that odd? Any doctors out there?

We all see the out of control kids and their parents squealing about them having attention deficit disorder and needing counselling. Or is it just bad behaviour caused by bad parents who can't control their kids and need a pseudo-medical term to make it sound like it's not their fault? Would badly behaved kids benefit from a smacked backside? Or do they need cossetting and counselling?

he is NOT epileptic, and has had several scans. These seizures ONLY happen in his sleep. And he had 3 around 6:40am this morning. First ones in a year and a half. He's had studies done and they have found nothing, medication made it worse when he took it (Klonopin and Dilantin). I called 911 and they came, it took a while to get him to wake up, he bit his tongue and was bleeding and when he finally woke up, he knew the things he needed to know, important questions. If anyone has any ideas as to what is going on, knowing that he is NOT epileptic, please help, we are desperate.
