i have been told i have a Paraumbilical hernia and may need surgery. has anybody ever had one? i would like to know if surgery is the only option. i am in the uk. cheers. karen

a hernia is caused by an internal organ protruding through a torn piece of muscle. surgery is the only solution. but very straightforward operation so don't worry.
