I have tried lemon juice and olive oil YUk... does anyone have any ideas??? I just want to get this over with before the holidays. I have 4 children and all the inlaws will be up for christmas. I don't want to miss any of it because of this darn stone.

There is only one way to get the stone moving along, and that is to flood the system with whatever fluid you happen to like drinking. It can be anything, but you have to drink until you think your eyeballs are floating, and feel like moving in to the bathroom. There is no magic drink, so you don't have to drink concoctions like lemon juice and olive oil anymore. The digestive system only absorbs water, vitamins and minerals, and the kidneys filter out excess water. If anything is going to convince the stone to move, that will be what does the job.
On the other hand, when it moves it may well become obstructive and you will need surgery to remove it. As the holidays are coming up, you might give thought to how much you want to spend any part of that in hospital or recovery, because it won't be a day surgery. It will be an abdominal surgery and you won't feel like getting up and around for a least a week or so afterwards. As long as you are not obstructed and the stone is not causing you a lot of pain, I would opt to drink more acidic things like juices and hope it gradually broke up. If it hasn't done it over the holidays, then after the New Year, you could try flooding it down the line. But whichever you choose, enjoy what you drink and just drink lots of it.
I have a kidney defect, and had a stone much the same. That was my doctors advise then, and lucky for me it broke up in the flood. I warn you now that the passing is painful, and going to the bathroom can burn like fire. It lasted for two days, that did, and burned for days afterwards. So you might want to really think hard about trying to shift it right at this moment.

drink 2-3 liters of water a day or more. Maybe that will flush it out. 1 cm is rather large in comparison to your poor urethra, also - seek a second opinion if it does not move. It will cause just as many problems sitting there for weeks as it would being obstructive. find a doc that will call it obstructive - there are ways around the crookedness of insurance providers even if they are not honest ones.

I couldn't just sit around and do nothing like my doctors suggested.

They didn't want me to do anything or to take herbs or herbal remedies, but I had to try something - they just wanted me to do dialysis!

This program allowed me to take control of my health. I went from Stage 4 to Stage 3 kidney disease.

It was easy to do and my BUN, creatinine and anemia are all in better ranges.
