When I was 10 yrs old I noticed a pea sized bump behind my right ear...it's hard like bone. I am now 20 yrs old and it is still there. I forgot about it until a few months ago because it has been causing me pain. It has not grown at all. I am worried that it can be a tumor. I know it is not a lymph node. Since I have no insurance right now I don't know what to do. What do you all think?

Within bodybuilding realms, hypertrophy is the growth/addition of muscle mass. I'm trying to determine if there is any known disease that actually works against the normal biomechanical, biochemical, and biophysical properties associated with hypertrophy when one is following the same diet and exercise regime used by bodybuilders and professional athletes to add muscle mass?

We all know that genetics plays a factor in body shape and hype. But is there a known genetic component/factor that actually prevents hypertrophy?

In asking this question I'm not talking about diseases such as muscular dystrophy, cancer, or any wasting syndromes which prevent one from exercising in the first place. I'm talking about a person who appears to be basically healthy and is able to participate in regular exercise (bodybuilding routines) and yet because of some underlying genetic or biochemical defect is unable to realize hypertrophy.

For the past year I have been have alot of problems paying attention to and remembering anything and everything! When people talk to me I'm hearing them but its like I'm not! I have verbal outbursts were i can't stop talking I know it bothers people but I can't help it. but thats only on somedays most days I'm so tired I can't even function I know I really can't be tired though becouse I sleep alot. I have problems functioning socially I have off and on problems with leaving my house exept I can go in the car.I cry alot but other times I can't cry at all for long periods of time.I have problems controling my temper. I think about killing myself alot, not seriously I think, but often. also i've had depression for about ten years and I feel completly diffrent acually I feel almost like a completly diffrent person.(not literally) Sorry that was long but if you recognize these symtoms and can tell me what I have I would love to know!!! Not literally hanging but....a side of your face that if you were to measure from left to right or vice versa it does not form a completely straight line? I don't know how to explain it, but I did this because I noticed that my right eyebrow does not align completely with my left eyebrow. Also, my eyes don't align completely either. It's not really noticeable, but I did notice this and it freaked me out. My sister says that I have a droopy eye and that this is the reason why my eyebrow also appears to be sort of "droopy" as well.

I heard that , at Pondicheri in India , some one is giving eye sight treatment without operation/medicines. They will give treatment by giving some eye excercise treatment.

I know blood can transmit the virus, but i was wandering if say, you swallowed blood, you could be infected or if it would have to go directly into your bloodstream by needle or two open wounds rubbing together.

I got my upper ear (cartilage) pierced on the first Saturday of November, and I'm still having a lot of problems with it. It's been painful since the beginning, constantly red (sometimes purple), and is very swollen. Now it's developed a HUGE bump on the back, and feels burning hot. I removed the earring to clean the back (only 2nd time) which should be ok since I've had it for an appropriate length of time, but when I went to wipe it with cleaner, the tissue had a tiny spot of blood on it. I didn't think cartilage bled since it's dense connective tissue with low blood supply, but this is definetly blood or else really red pus. I'm really tired of having a throbbing hot ear, but I don't want to lose my piercing...please help! Would you recommend I visit a doctor for this? I'm not sure how serious (if at all) it is.

Does anyone know how a 6yr old childs head can expand due to chronic brainswelling? I understand the stutures weren't all the way closed/formed. I just got my tongue pierced about 4 hours ago and I really have no swelling or bleeding.
How long does it usually take for the swelling to kick in?
It doesn't really hurt at all either.
Another thing just garggle with Listerine or is there something else I should be using. I bought some H20 stuff from the piercer but it's not going to last me long.
