They show he has a high white cell count - they are now rushing through more blood tests. I know a high white cell count can signify infection, but what else can cause it? He is also feeling sick after eating and his knee joints have swollen up. Any ideas?

I have a sore arm, with a local raised reaction that is tender and hot to touch. With ever motion I make, it effects the injection site. It was an intra-muscular shot. The reaction is larger then a silver dollar. I also have cold like symptoms including a swollen lymph node, and a cold sore all on my left side. Is this a normal reaction? I can't just stop using my left arm, are there any suggestions on how to treat the soreness?

If you gained weight, did you lose it quickly after getting treatment? What are the dangers? What about going untreated for like four years?

Up to 09/05 I had some clogged arteries BUT also had excellent COLLATERAL formation which helped me manage quite well. never was on any heart meds. I took my BP meds, though. then 09/05 car struck me - I was badly hurt, in the ICU I had MASSIVE MI in all segments. Put on respirator for days. Hospital never mentioned to me about the MI or respirator, I found out later from visitors. No cardiology F/UP was given. Months later I had tibial fracture mended with external fixation. Rods later removed, holes in skin & bone scabbed, MD pronounced them closed. Now since 1 mo. ago, I have severe left ventricular dysfunction, global hypokinesis, ejection fraction is +50% - One fixator hole now oozes streams of cold clear water (no blood) day & night - soaking my socks, shoes & pants & NON-stop. I have bad chest pains on exertion & outside in cold. I believe maybe I'm losing water faster than I can replace it -yet I am nauseous, cough endlessly, and am swollen with water, in limbs. Help.

The nosebleeds vary from every day to every other day. I do take an iron supplement every day. It helped for a while, but then just stopped. As for going to the doctor, thats a no go. My parnets won't take me. The humidifier sounds good. Although, my parents won't but me that either. I can't stand the humming noise, but i could live with it. I hate the fact that there seems to be nothing I can do about this. Thank you all for your advice and support. It means a lot. Thank you.

I've been experiencing Tingling and muscle twitches throughout my body in the day time, at night when i cover myself with the blanket I think because of the heat my hands and legs go especially numb, I've also had stiff joints that make popping sounds throughout my body along with tiny red dots all over my back. I think its a auto immune thing but my doctors haven't been able find out ****. Im going back to the neurologist for tests, So far I've had blood tests which included testing for Lyme's disease, I've had a spinal Mri which came back normal. Also a Cat scan which came back normal, been to Orthopedian, Neurologist, Lung Doctor, Internist ( I live in Germany, dont know what these docs are called in America but theu specialize in Organs). The thing is last time i went to the Neurologist for tests was 4 months ago and back then i didnt have the numbness ect, but back pain.

It says: DO NOT RINSE IF NASAL PASSAGE IS COMPLETELY BLOCKED OR IF YOU HAVE AN EAR INFECTION OR BLOCKED EARS. How do I know if my nasal passage is completely blocked. My nostrils are clear, but I have deep congestion on the right side of my sinuses (Behind eye, right side of nose).

When he burps it smells like rotten stomach acid and it is so terrible, it will clear a room in about 2 seconds. It is the most rancid odor I have ever smelled and it lingers until you want to vomit. When he passes flatus, it has the same rotten odor and the smell permeates his pants and the odor follows him around. I almost wonder if he has some kind of cancer or something rotting on his insides. He burps and passes gas constantly and it is so nauseating. I am always afraid he will do it in a public place with me and shame me terribly. He has been doing this for about 4 months now. I asked him to tell his doctor about it, and he made it sound like it wasnt a problem. Its severe. I will not sleep with him until he is examined for what the heck is wrong with him. I am a RN and have smelled a lot of odors, but never anything this rotten. I have smelled rotten, bubbling wounds, bowel obstructions in vomit and all kinds of stuff, but this is the worst. What do you think is wrong?

A person I know was attacked by the disease " Polio " at the age of 3 and he is now 55 years old. His both the legs are effected and he needs cruches to walks. I know that polio is now eradicated. But with the latest advancement and improvement in the medical field, I am sure that there has to be a way out.

never ot come back, won't take her coumadin (blood thinner) and now her legs have holes in them (on the calves) and are seeping blood and pus. I had been going over to take her meds to her and last week she abrubtly said "no more poison".
Come on it is only one pill. When the nurse told me she must have been spitting them out for the 3 weeks prior because he blood work looks lower than a person who never takes coumadin. I ?'ed her. Yep she was spitting them out.
A little history--She is paranoid schitzophrenic, never took a anti-physicotic med and refuses. Her denial of care is one in which I am lost because my husband wants to put her back in the hospital (this would be the 3rd time) She is a danger to herself and who knows if she has the flesheating bacteria on her legs ??
What would you do? Leave her stay at home and change the dressing 3 times a day and bring over meals or 302 her to the hospital? I think she should just stay at home?? OPIONIONS??

the right side of my face is 'bigger' than the left. it never used to be but about 2 years ago i noticed that the cheek is quite alot bigger and that my nose bends a bit to the side.

my doc said thet 'it was because i was going growing up and that my face would even out' but i think he just wanted next patient

does anyone know of anything that causes this of if it is natural or if it will go?
