I had gallstones removed but in the meantime a very low fat diet is a good idea.

For the gallstones you just have to drink a lot of water. It helps the stones pass so they don't clog your bile duct. As for the reflux, stay away from spicy foods, caffeine, peppers, etc. The prilosec will help but you basically need to change your diet drastically. Eat bland foods. Try to avoid stress (I know this will be hard if not impossible). This will allow your stomach to rest. If it gets really bad you will probably need a prescription. Nexium is an awesome drug but it is expensive if you don't have insurance. Monitor for black stools because this indicate blood in your stool which is a sign of a bleeding ulcer. If you feel nausea try lying on your left side as this will ease it. I can't think of anything else. Good Luck

This site will help you do a liver/gallbladder cleanse and explain the disease to you. I have done this cleansing myself; but I eventually had to have surgery. I would also suggest you eat several small meals a day instead of 3 large ones; no alcohol, low fat diet; up your water intake and elevate the head of your bed to prevent reflux at night. Hope this helps and Godloveya.

Keep your fat intake to a minimum since it is the major cause of the reaction. However, it is not the same as acid reflux, so you should see a physician for an accurate diagnosis of what it is. The medicines for reflux and acid type problems do not help much if the problem is caused by gallstones.

Please forgive me, I do believe that even a Dr. with a sense of humor would tell you that.....
"This too shall pass."
or
"We can cut it out."
I really don't mean to be mean or make light of your situation/ discomfort.
2 close friends and a member of my family have had stones, and 2 of them had to pass the stones. Water water and more water.

OK, if you are sure you have gallstones, go to a general surgeon and schedule yourself for a laproscopic cholecystectomy with a c arm. You will be miraculously cured in 1 day.

try Prilosec otc. I have acid reflux and I take Nexium, but I took Prilosec before and it is good for the acid. If you have gallstones, have you seen a Doctor and did they suggest surgery?
