I've been experiencing Tingling and muscle twitches throughout my body in the day time, at night when i cover myself with the blanket I think because of the heat my hands and legs go especially numb, I've also had stiff joints that make popping sounds throughout my body along with tiny red dots all over my back. I think its a auto immune thing but my doctors haven't been able find out ****. Im going back to the neurologist for tests, So far I've had blood tests which included testing for Lyme's disease, I've had a spinal Mri which came back normal. Also a Cat scan which came back normal, been to Orthopedian, Neurologist, Lung Doctor, Internist ( I live in Germany, dont know what these docs are called in America but theu specialize in Organs). The thing is last time i went to the Neurologist for tests was 4 months ago and back then i didnt have the numbness ect, but back pain.

Have they sent you to a rheumatologist? Several types of arthritis have rashes, numbness, and stiff joints as symptoms. Check out the types of arthritis at www.arthritis.ca. I know the site is reliable as my rheumatologist told me to go to this site.

It took me three years to be diagnosed with two auto-immune diseases. I wish you luck. It sucks not knowing what is wrong with you.

First of all, ignore the idiotic remarks, some people are just cruel. It sounds like you're on the right track by visiting specialists. It took numerous specialists to discover my problem and I know it's frustrating. I had/have the same symptoms, but my MRIs came back abnormal, degenerative disc disease, herniated discs, pressure on nerve roots. Apparantly, your spine is fine which is great news, just keep searching until you find the answer. I suspect you're next tests from your Neurologist is an EMG (hang in there for that) which determines nerve problems. I certainly feel for you, not knowing is disturbing and frustrating. I just wanted to answer your question by letting you know someone in cyberspace cares about what you're going through. I'm in Miami, Florida, we call them Internist, also. Feel better.
