My brother who is 16 going on 17 in one month woke me up in the middle of the night saying his heart was beating too fast I told him to drink some water buy he presisted and said he can feel pain in his left arm. I called the hospital they said call 911. The doctor said the numbness was from him sleeping on it, he failed to mention "it moved to his neck", now i am no doctor but I know that the test that they preformed will only show his current state and not his state before we arrived at the hospital? Is this something I should worry about ?
I live in TX where many children have died due to heart faliure. No he does not play sports or any known allergies but we do have family history of Asthma and Diabetes (father)

It could not have been polio because of the strong implication that it was reversible or at least manageable. So, it would have had to be something they were able to treat effectively in the mid 1800's.

I've heard that trips to a tanning booth can help with this, but this isn't possible for a claustrophobic person (the patient in question). Is there a similiar lighting product that we could put on his desk? Fluorescent? Black lights? "Natural sunlight" bulbs?

Does anybody know? Thanks in advance.

Recently I started seeing a pain specialist. He added Methadone to my prescriptions. I take pain meds, muscle relaxers,nerve meds,sleeping meds, high bp meds,siezure meds.and meds for anxiety/depression. I have many neurological problems such as Degenerative Disc Dis., Degenerative Joint Dis., Spinal Stenosis, Spurs in the cervical,thoracic.lumbar and sacral regions, Severe Encroachment of the lumbar/sacral for. Cauda Equina Syndrome, I also have meniscus tears in both knees ,bursitis in my rt hip, . Along with that Ihave Fibro Myalgia, Migraines, Epilepsy and High Blood Pressure. I dont like the fact that some people automaticly think Methadone is only for dope heads, junkies and the like. PLEASE help me educate the world about other uses for METHADONE !!!! I feel as if my family and friends think of me differently because I am taking Methadone. I take my medications as they are prescribed because without them I would have absolutely NO QUALITY OF LIFE. EDUCATE MY LOVED ONES!!!!!

It is seriously taking its toll on my well being, because I can't sleep at night without a huge water bottle beside my bed. I wake up every 15 minutes (This is NOT exaggeration) dying of thirst and grab the water bottle and gulp down water. This goes on all night long!! Also, I probably fill the thing up at least 2 times a night. Plus every time I wake up I have to pee because I drank so much water from the last time I woke up. It goes on all night long, drinking, peeing, drinking-peeing-it-never-stops! It is driving me crazy and I am exhausted all the time because I never get any quality sleep. And yeah, I have already been tested for diabetes TWICE and I don't have it. Can anyone please give me advice on how to stop this madness? THANKS

I'm a soon to be single dad. Mom ran away twice and forgot to take the kid both times. She will never have the opportunity to make that mistake again!

A couple of months ago I took my daughter to a visit with a new Pediatrician and she performed a vaganal exam and announced "your daughter has "pre something something" and gave me a prescription for a hormone creme to apply twice daily for two weeks and the fleshy web at the bottom of her vagina faded away. I cannot remember the name of the condition and don't really want to call the doctor back. Help?

my system I get a diffuse abdominal pain in the center of my abdomen. I am talking just swallowing a sip of water and the pain kicks in. It doesn't seem like it could even get to my stomach that fast. With the deeper pain is also a prickly feeling just under the abdominal skin and mild nausea. I went out with this nurse (she works in hospital operating room) in mid August and had unprotected sex. First my feet are feeling cold since then and few wks later not sure how many maybe 6 wks later I had an episode of loose stool (only once a day) for few wks, no fever or any thing else. I am wondering is there a good chance that I was exposed to some sort of virus. And is there any link between cold feet and HIV and I had loose stool not diarrhea. Please advice

My Step father recently got a blood exam back, and was found to have nearly three times the normal amount of cholesterol. The whole family is going on the same diet to support his change.
