When I type it feels strange because it almost hurts but it feels stiff. I wonder if this is what arthritis starts like because my first knuckle on my little finger on my right hand is bent toward the ring finger. Did anyone ever experience this?

My mother's foot is turning purple and almost black.. It's been that way for maybe over amonth now, and she's been to the Dr about it, but they keep dragging *** to get back to her with answers.. She did finally call and ask what she should be doing or if there was anything special that she should look out for (The Dr gave her a test then scheduled her to come back at the end of next month, what an asshole!!) Anyway, the nurse asked if her foot was still purple, ofcourse it was, it's not going to go away overnight!! So they told her to come in, ran some more tests then told her to come in the following week for the results. Oh but the Dr isn't there and there's no way the nurses can release the test results to her!! Can you believe that!! So my question is, has anyone else experienced this before, and don't you think they should... oh, I don't know be a little concerned, or at least do their job!! Sorry, I'm a little angry and frustrated.. So anything would be helpful..

I have undifferentiated mixed connective tissue disease. I've tested positive for Sjogren's syndrome a few years back, but it is not primary. That means that I either have Lupus or Rheumatoid Arthritis. I've been taking plaquenil for 4+ years and had some toxicity. My dose has been decreased and I started taking Methotrexate in August. I currently take 10 mg. I've noticed minimal (very, very minor) improvement in joint swelling. I seem to have 2-3 good days a week, but still have considerable swelling in my joints. I see my rheumatologist in 3 weeks, but I thought I would ask anyone who is taking methotrexate to see how long it took them to know it is working.
My major complaint is fatigue. I'm exhausted and I don't think the fatigue is worth the minimal improvement. If anyone who is currently taking this med can give me some advice, I would greatly appreciate it. Should I hang in there? I'm also doing homeopathic treatments with a doc and aqua therapy 2-3x a week.

I am wondering what the real treatment is...my parents always told me to leave strays ( I was a pet lover) alone because if you got rabies they have to give you 100 shots in the belly through your belly button....Let me tell you I didn't mess with strays....lol

But now that I am older I wondered what the real treatment was

Thank you!

Why would my husband's thyroid bloodwork come back with zero TSH and high Free T-4, and then when a scan was done (after an iodine pill was taken 24 hours before), the thyroid did NOT show up??? Wouldn't the bloodwork indicate an overactive thyroid? Why would it not show on the scan. My husband's neck has been sore for a month, and he has been running a fever, off and on, for three weeks. Can anyone give us any information before we see the doctor next week?

I have severe pain in both of my feet, sometimes it is sharp and sometimes it is dull. It hurts most in my arch and in the ball of my feet it feel like there is something in there. My big toe has some sharp pain and it usally hurts so bad it keeps me from falling asleep. The weird thing is that I feel like there is a ball in the ball of my foot not my heel. My arch hurts alot and when the pain gets intense it goes to my ankle. I have looked up gout and spurs, but gout sound different than what I feel, and spurs are in the heel. If anyone has any suggestions please, help me. I can't take this anymore.

Has anybody here had any problems with the prescription drug hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic for high blood pressure? I don't like it, but my doctor insists that I need to take it. It seems to cause some unpleasant side effects.

i think i have a problem, like a health problem, but im not sure what. every day for over four months, when i stand up, i start to black out, but never completely, and get dizzy. almost every single time i stand up, and every day for sure. (its like, have you ever stood up to fast, and you started to black out and got dizzy, well this happens to me daily, all the time). i try to not let it get to me, but about three months ago, i did this in my shower and ended up completely blacking out in my shower. i am always getting dizzy. i eat plenty of food, but i also have slightly high blood pressure. would that have anything to do w/ it?? Help!

I over exercise barely eat and yet my weight stays the same. It is like my body is saying no more and telling me to stop. I know it's crazy but I want to weigh eighty pounds. No one understands. My doctor got mad when I told her that. By the way I'm anorexic. So I really don't need anyone giving me tips on what to eat or not eat. I know a lot of exercises. This is my life. I know some people would say that I don't have a life. Feeling tired all the time and all the things I'm doing to my body aren't good. I know they're dangerous. Please someone give me some helpful advice. I don't want to be this way for the rest of my life.

I have this pain in my left side, right around the bottom of the rib cage. It is recurring for months now. Been to doctor, (health department doc, not a good one, but all i can afford) and been to ER numerous times when pain gets really bad. They never do the proper tests because I'm uninsured. Something's going on and it is not normal. I know something is wrong, nobody has this kind of pain for no reason.
Can u give me some ideas as to what it may be so I can tell the doctor what to look for?

ok recent studies have shown that stuffed animals cause itchy, skin allergies and very serious stomach problems.
The fur flies into air and becomes invisible in a way and when you open your mouth to breath or talk a mouthful of fur enters your lungs and stomach and stays there forever.
I have this problem because I collect stuffed animals.
It is serious and i only want to pass it around because this has been known to cause death to some children.
And I could have died one of my 12 years!!
also nuts can cause this too but stuffed animals are the number 1 items to cause this. If you want to buy a stuffed animal rub it, shake it and if any fur even 2 strands, it isn't good to buy
so i only say this to protect everyone especially kid's stomachs and prevent them from have skin allergies. so please pass this around and make a better future for kids.

My BF's urine has a foul smell to it, I'm very concerned about his health but he refuses to go to the doctor, he's a drinker, he drinks everyday, usually 6-7 beers at the least. I tell him he's an alcoholic but he disagrees, he thinks alcoholics are people who can not function at all, he's up for work everyday at 6:30am and functions fine, but he's drinking is not normal, he refuses to listen! (Comes from a big irish family of drinkers) I'm concerned about his liver, his urine smells really bad, it started lately. Its always cloudy too, there could be other symptoms but hes too stuborn to even let me or anyone know. What can I do, I love this man, I've been with him 5 years, I have talked to him repeatedly to no avail. What can be the cause of this smell? He's 29yrs old and had an uncle who died from liver cancer. Any advice would be appreciated. LOL
