Has anyone got essential tremor that has not been significantly progressive. I have yet to be diagnosed but i've been reading up on ET extensively and while many research centres say it is progressive in all sufferers some say that it may remain mild for some people. The symtoms seem to match up exactly to what i've been experiencing for the last few years. It started off with a slight head tremor and although the intensity hasn't increased the tremor has now spread to my back, arms, hands and sometimes legs. I'm working abroad for six months so i can't really go and see a doctor but i'm wouried about the progression of this condition. I'm 23 and don't want to end up on beta blockers for the rest of my life. Would be helpful to hear from anyone who's in a similar situation or has been through the same thing.

My friend had to go to hosptial Saturday after we (admittedly) drank too much on Friday night, but the reason for her going was due to such an extreme anxiety attack (which she didn't know at the time) The doctor said this happens often with too much red bull. AND according to the doctor, its banned in most countries apart from here, US and Mexico.

I've been sick now for about a week and tomorrow night I have an important social event that I've been looking forward to and planning for MONTHS! But I am sick, I can't go 5 minutes without either sneezing or coughing or blowing my nose. In fact my nose is running constantly and tomorrow night I'm going to be all dressed up and don't want to be feeling terrible and sorry for myself.
Any cures or even just something I can do to make it possible to not have to bring 2 tissue boxes with me?

We have been trying to get this person to have one for a long time., and I am suggesting that it be done while they are in the hospital, because once they get out the will find excuses not to have it done.

Also if there is a nurse in the family, are they allowed to be attending to the family member while tha family member is in the hospital. I know that Doctors have a rule about being assigned to family members.

I had a minor concussion and then had also used methamphetamines just prior to loss of smell about eight weeks ago. I still cannot detect the difference in scents between gasoline vs. pizza vs. toothpaste vs. cologne. I do have very basic sense of taste, i.e., spicy vs. sweet vs. bitter, but that's about it.

Obviously, no one can diagnose in this manner, but we are taking him to paediatrician tomorrow and I don't want to sound like a hysterical parent. My son has special needs, we already know that, but aside from that, he is pale all the time, has redish to bluish circles around his eyes, he's loosing a bit of weight but he eats like there's no food tomorrow, he's been complaining of pain EVERYWHERE, including his penis, and I noticed he has a scabbing lesion on his scalp. Am I crazy to say that SOMETHING doesn't feel right?

It's happened alot through the weekend. I also noticed that my arms/hands are going to sleep alot at night or tingling. Anyway, my hubby and everyone thinks I should go to the doctor on Monday. I didn't want to lose any more work right now but he is concerned so he thinks I should go Monday. What do you think?

If you have never seen the movie Lorenzo's Oil, then I'll explain. Lorenzo is 5 years old when he is diagnosed with ALD, an inborn error of the metabolism that causes degeneration of the brain. It is was rare and pretty much unstudied at the time. His parents took it upon themselves to find a cure or atleast a way to stop his suffering. They did find a sort of cure that ended his suffering and gave him the ability to move and what not, but never walk or talk still. So were their actions ethical or unethical????
