Obviously, no one can diagnose in this manner, but we are taking him to paediatrician tomorrow and I don't want to sound like a hysterical parent. My son has special needs, we already know that, but aside from that, he is pale all the time, has redish to bluish circles around his eyes, he's loosing a bit of weight but he eats like there's no food tomorrow, he's been complaining of pain EVERYWHERE, including his penis, and I noticed he has a scabbing lesion on his scalp. Am I crazy to say that SOMETHING doesn't feel right?

Trust you instincts. If you don't think something is right, you need to have it checked out. You have done a great job of noting what seems to be wrong. If you don't get what you are looking for, keep a notebook with good notes on what he eats, his weight and other symptoms. I am sorry to hear you are having these problems. Good luck.

Looking odd is a bad thing

Eating well is a good thing

Pain everywhere can well mean a virus

Eating lots and losing weight could mean worms or malabsorption

You are not crazy to say that something doesn't feel right. You are his mother and you see him every day. You are the BEST person to know if something doesn't feel right.

No you don't sound crazy! I have worked with the developementally disabled for over 15 years and if I saw those symptoms in a client I would have him in the doctors office ASAP! I did have one male client that we knew was having bowel problems and the management wouldn't believe us! He was non-verbal and kept banging his head and we knew that he was trying to tell us he was in pain. I kept begging for the nurse at our facility to get him in for a flate plate of the abdomen. She finally agreed and they scheduled him for a barium enema. The first thing they have to do is take a x-ray of his abdomen and sure enough, they refused to do the barium enema because he was so impacted! Sometimes you know best what is going on so keep on screaming at someone until they listen!!

I wish you and your family the best, your a great mother and don't forget it! Good Luck!

It does not sound like you are crazy. If it seems like something is not right, then, obviously, you need answers. If you don't like the answers you get tomorrow, go see another doctor. And another if need be. You are with him every day. You know him best.

Good luck.

I am not Doctor, but give you thumbs up, take him to the doctor and if possibly to a child psychologist, they might find out lots of stuff.
Good luck and keep the little boy happy, make sure you make him feel loved.
I am a mother.
