Has anyone got essential tremor that has not been significantly progressive. I have yet to be diagnosed but i've been reading up on ET extensively and while many research centres say it is progressive in all sufferers some say that it may remain mild for some people. The symtoms seem to match up exactly to what i've been experiencing for the last few years. It started off with a slight head tremor and although the intensity hasn't increased the tremor has now spread to my back, arms, hands and sometimes legs. I'm working abroad for six months so i can't really go and see a doctor but i'm wouried about the progression of this condition. I'm 23 and don't want to end up on beta blockers for the rest of my life. Would be helpful to hear from anyone who's in a similar situation or has been through the same thing.

I don't have it but I can tell it is not always progressive, moderate to sever symptoms need beta blockers, mild or bearable or intermittent symptoms can be observed. In my experience I would want to rule out things like thyroid or electrolyte problems before I label someone with ET. Do you think it could be anxiety at all? I would recommend you to see a doctor wherever you are if symptoms persist or worsen, don't hesitate to write to me too, good luck
