I was prescribed Fluoxetine, which is a form of Prozac, for post natal depression. After about a week I was starting to feel much better and only had to be on them for a couple of months. I didn't have to be weaned off and found it very easy to just stop taking them. Unfortunately, they are like any anti-depressant, some people can notice side effects and I think it is a case of listening to your doctor and if you notice any really unpleasant side effects go back to GP straight away. I also had Effexor and had terrible side effects, my whole body went numb and I had a massive panic attack. Listen to what your body is telling you, you know when something isn't right.
Good luck with the tablets, don't forget that you won't be on them forever!

Yes, when I was 18. I drank while taking them and then decided to stop taking them, by going cold turkey. Bad idea!
I didn't like they way I felt on them, but they work for others.

Yes, but I had major side effects from it. So I stopped taking it.
