Extreme constipation as a result of not having a bowel movement for several days or a week or more. The feeling that you have to evacuate, but can't pass anything. Could lead to possible intestinal blockage which could lead to death as happened with Morris Gibb of the BG's.

Note: If someone has constipation that has lasted a week or more they should seek medical treatment before trying laxatives. They could have a serious underlying medical problem such as a colon or other intestinal tumor (benign or cancerous).

Cheers!

My father who went through this had to have surgery and have most of his intestines taken out. He now can't have a normal bowel movement at all and usually has to use Milk of Magnesia to have a bowel movement. I did get him to eating some fruit daily and it did work for a few weeks but he stopped eating the fruit, you know how older people are, they are set in their ways.

Severe stomach and abdominal pain; nausea; you may throw up "green" stuff. Not a pretty situation.
