Hello there,
I am sorry to say but there is no cure for Tinnitus. But there are some methods which can help the condition. However, it does depend on the type of Tinnitus that you have.

Type 1: it comes and goes
Type 2: mostly they only have Tinnitus in one ear. It makes the sound of wave or the sound of water fall.

Type 3: In both or one ear. The sound is generally the noise of a colour bar on a TV late at night.

Some people have Tinnitus for different reasons. Some due to work and noise pollution. Some people even get it from psychological. If you were bullied as a child, adult etc u might think it won't affect you as much. But your corresponds to bullying can be to block the silly people voices out and then your brain creates Tinnitus so you can't listen so intensely. It is a form of protective method your body creates. So, you need to find out why you have it.

There has been reported that people with Tinnitus:
*Take herbal tablets.
*Try to block it mentally out.
*New technology shows that an ear piece machine can re-train your brain to ignore the sounds. But you'll have to keep training yourself to maintain the "cure".

*Acupuncture -
*Cranial Osteopathy - could be that your jaws are too tight.

You could even have allergies in the middle ear or a under pressure in the ear. Check this with an ear specialist.

People with Tinnitus can experience:
*sound to vary in volume.
*sounds to vary in sound.
*balance problems - find out which part of the head your Tinnitus lies.

When people with Tinnitus are:
*tired
*angry
*hungry
*wet/cold- don't walk around with wet hair.
* Colds/versus etc.

Hope this helps. Please, give me a little feed-back note on how it went?

Yours Sincerely,
Jr.

The best way to get over tinnitus is to rest your ears. You can go to the audiologist and get a prescription but it tends to be expensive and to only work some of the time.

I have a friend who found that when the doctor put her on medication for her arthritis, her tinnitus went away. It can actually be caused by arthritis in the small bones located in the ears. It sounds crazy but you might try it! Try some OTC meds that are specifically for arthritis.

My uncle has it and his doctor gave him antidepressants and he said they have helped him not to think about the ringing. The ringing in his ears was driving him literally crazy. He would go to sleep right after work just to get away from the ringing.
