I have degeneative disc disease (spelling) and doing physical therapy. But am finding out that if I have to bend over to pick something up off of the floor, or pick up dirty clothes, it seems to bother me at the end of the day. My back gets tired and sore. My job I do, involves alot of bending and I'm hoping that I can go back to work soon. But I'm worried about the bending.

I feel like I've been going to my doctor a lot and he might be ignoring me. I've been having myoclonic twitches off and on for several months now. I told him about it and he didn't do anything about it. I still have the problem. I'm afraid that I will have a full fledge seizure if we don't figure out why these are happening.

The twitches happen every day and are worse when I'm at rest. I feel like a hyperchondriac. Should I pester him again? I was thinking about looking for another doctor. What do you think I should do?

These myoclonic twitches are outside the norm. I'm in the medical field and know that this isn't normal. We all have twitches, but these are bad involving the entire body or just a limb. But occurs several times in one minute...I should know what to do. Medical professionals are the worst when it comes to their own health....

Has anyone else ever had a spinal fusion for scoliosis? I have to have on later this year. If you have, do you have any tips for helping in the healing process and the coping? I'm doing okay with the fact that I have to have it, and am actually a bit excited about not having to deal with the curvature and imbalance of my spine. I just want to know of any tips for the hospital stay and in the days and months following. Thanks all.

I am 21 years old, 5'9", 125 pounds. I began suffering from pretty significant episodes of hypoglycemia about 6 weeks ago after getting kind of dehydrated while rollerblading. I didn't drink any soda for about 2 days because I was drinking so much water and just didn't want anything sweet. The problems began when I tried to drink a Powerade. I went to the doctor and he confirmed with several tests that I was having issues with my blood sugar levels, but he wasn't sure what the cause was. He said it could be anything from my poor diet (6-18 sodas a day) to hormone problems to a tumor and referred me to a specialist who was scheduling appointments about a month in advance. He said in the meantime to keep trying to avoid sugar. I am still having problems frequently and if anything, they seem to be getting worse. What should I do until I can see the specialist and hopefully find out what the problem is and fix it.

Splenda and sucralose are the same thing and I noticed that my family and I have been having problems with diarrhea when consuming these products. I just read some testimonials on a website called www.mercola.com and I found them very disturbing. I was just wondering if there were others who noticed these same problems.
