Geographic tongue is a gorgeous, descriptive call for between the main elementary well being situations of the tongue. mothers and dads many times are those to word quite a few great, pink, particularly depressed, surprisingly gentle patches on the exterior of their newborn's tongue -- whilst no longer something became there hours earlier. frequently the pink factors are bordered with different white bands. the pointy borders of those irregularly shaped lesions provide the exterior of the tongue the visual charm of a map, possibly a map of a collection of uncharted islands. The somewhat dramatic visual charm of geographic tongue seems to many like a burn, or like some form of nasty an infection. convey him to a physician to eliminate this.

Yes I have had it. In my case, it hurt and had to see a Dr for a mouthwash. Some people do have it though and it doesn't bother them.

If it bothers you go to the doctor. Mine was caused by a yeast infection.

Good luck.

If your tongue is sore or has a burning sensation, avoid spicy or hot foods, alcohol, and tobacco. Toothpastes that contain tartar-control additives or flavoring may also aggravate it. It would be best to use toothpaste that is made for sensitive teeth. Your doctor may refer you to a dermatologist or dentist if this persists. You can read more about this condition here
