Possibly, see you eye surgeon urgently - I researched this not long ago and it seems the quicker it gets treated the better. mine turned out to be a corneal problem - bugger all to do with the retina - but that's life!

I know someone who had a detached retina and within a couple of months of surgery his sight was virtually back to normal. I guess it does depend though on how quickly the problem was treated in the first instance but really this should have been explained to you at the point of surgery. Good luck.

Did you not think to ask your surgeon this question, lets say er... after the surgery?
I love the medical questions on here to random punters!!
Who needs a qualification, lets just ask "Johnny Random" for an answer to why my leg has gone blue for a week!!!!

It will nto get back to exactly the way it was. It will improve over time if you have just had the surgery.

i honestly don't know if your vision can be corrected totally..i do know that you can take beta carotene and bilberry and it will help your eye heal..and some with the vision. good luck
