help understanding who would be the best doc in the nation to help him,so far the local med center has said that a coil put into this problem area would possibly contain the enlarged vein, that too we know nothing about, the pro's con's of that type of repair are unknown to us as well and when it come's to some doctor's we understand you must be careful who you trust, can anyone out their tell me what could be the smart choice for him, and in the united states who is the most respected doctor that can do this with the lowest amount of risk to my father based on job skills and track record, i truly understand i am asking for alot of info but my dad really needs my help and i'm asking for yours, thank you so much for any help to better understand whats best, --please have a good day.

I live in arizona and I need to know where to get tested for bipolar disorder in the phoenix area. Whenever I try to look it up online all I get is the symptoms and info about medicine but I don't need any of that info right now, all I need to know is where to get tested and I don't have a specific doctor so I was wondering if there was a clinic or something like that that I can go to? Thank you for your help!

I was diagnosed 5 years ago with Histo. The doctor said there was really nothing he could do for this and that most people out there have some sort of contact with this. I do not have insurance and quit going to the Doctor since he could do nothing for me. Latly I am having trouble seeing things clearly sometimes and other things going on and have became curious what other people are going through and how long they have had it.

I seriously think that I have Aspereger's Syndrome. I often have to keep things straight and organized, I like routines, I for some reason have to flip pencils or things like that, I really do have narrow and intense interests (in 1st grade I memorized all the presidents and could tell you anything about them and then I got into more medieval history where by 3rd grade, I could tell you anything about the middle ages, it has changed though, to music, where I constantly research and listen to things like Pink Floyd, which is where I came across this; I was reading about how Syd Barrett could have had Asperger's Syndrome - I do still like history, though), my handwriting is horrible, I mumble a lot, I am clumsy, and it is hard for me to make friends and when I do talk to people, I often get nervous, I walk weird, and I do not like to be touched. Could anyone tell me if it sounds like I have it? Also, if I do have this, where would I get it diagnosed?

What divides an alcoholic and someone who merely drinks. Is it social? Is it from a doctor's perspective? How many is too many? At what point are you "Leaving Las Vegas?"

Consider the Frenchman who drinks a glass of wine every night with dinner, a Japanese who has a shot of Sake with each meeting, An Irish man at the pub after work...etc etc

What is the dividing line?

Ok I'm worried about a friend especially after what happened at soccer practice today. She used to eat and then she didn't eat that much and now she doesn't eat at all! She says she's starving herself until she's 85 lbs. and at 5'5 (or 6) that is not normal! Today is her first day of officially not eating at all (usually she has a small salad) and she said she felt fine. Then at soccer practice today it was REALLY hot and we were running and having scrimmiges. Well my friend has A LOT of endurance and is barely ever tired or atleast she never says anything unlike everyone else! Well today close to the end of practice she starts to hold her mouth and cover her stomache and goes to sit down and drink water. She comes back in but she seems sick in a way. I talk to her and so do the coaches and we all conclude its not from eating. Later when I talked to her she felt dizzy too. Her mom is forcing her to eat now but she says she won't eat! Does she have anorexia + should I talk 2 a teach?

I have a friend I think is becoming bulimic. She never eats alot of food at any one time, and I'm not sure if she is purging either. She is very stressed out and her parents don't think she is worth alot. At golf shes doesnt eat anything and if she does she throws it up, but not intentionally. I don't know if she is bulimic or not, but I would really like to find out if she is or not. I cannot talk to her and the only person she MIGHT talk to is her coach for golf. Please help!!!!!!

I deal with two diseases on a daily basis and have battled them since childhood. Myasthenia Gravis and Organic Brain Syndrome. During the day, nearly 100% of the time I feel relatively normal. After the sun begins its descent and the sky turns that beautiful redish, orangish, magenta type color, I begin feeling a change in my whole system. I become irritable, sometimes lackadaisical, and there are times I feel disoriented as if I don't have a clue what is going on around me. I have a cousin with this Myasthenia Gravis but have been told my maternal Grandfather suffered from this same nite time "curse" I like to call it. My family told me that Grandpa called it the Evening Shade or somethng like it. Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? I have a wonderful family, very intelligent children that hate to see this happening to me but it seems to progress as I age and I am now only 42. The Doctors don't have a clue, all they want to do is keep me medicated. Help please. Thank you

Is anyone interested in an online support group for fibromyalgia sufferers? I know that there are some out there already, but most seem to be either a place where someone selling a "cure" can hawk their wares, or a place where no one is ever allowed to complain about what they're going through and say "I need to vent to someone who understands what this is like."

I'm talking about a message board, basically, where we can talk about what things work for us to reduce the pain, and what things help us get through the day despite the pain. Where we can get sympathy when we need to share our personal evil-doctor stories (or evil-relative, or evil-boss, or whatever) and know that other people have had the same problems. Where we can talk about the latest health news that has bearing on our particular condition.

If there is already such an online support group, please let me know. Otherwise, I intend to start one. Let me know if you are interested.
