dead tissue, also called necrosis. when tissue dies and becomes necrotic, it turns black. also, gangrene, which is another type of infection that causes tissue death (and ultimately amputation of the gangrenous appendage).

Why is he dying is my first question. Is this person dying of a disease? If so, then its the disease.
I would go to webmd.com and type in skurby. Im not to sure on the spelling, but it will/might have other options to choose from.
Ive also heard being struck by lightning will do that to your feet, and you will die! It may be not having vitamin C for a real long long time too! Ive heard that will do that also.

The circulation is gone in his feet,This leads to no blood flow in his feet and tissue death.

Lack of oxygen in his system. When your body isn't getting enough oxygen it reduces the flow of blood to the extremities. It does this To make sure that it (the brain) is getting enough oxygen.
