long time friend is bi polar. Where and how do you help? she has 2 small little girls. Mom says with a death of family friend has brought it back. I don't think so. a friend of hers gave her some pills and she took them we don't know what they where, she hasn't slept for 3 days. how can we put her pills back into her or how long can these pills last. her husband wants to seek help mom says no she just needs friends and family close to bring her back out of this.....

Your bi-polar friend needs to be seen by a physician. She also needs someone to go along. Sounds like a mess to me and bipolar disorder treated with medication, not close family and friends. If that were the case psychiatrist would go out of business. Take her to the doctor.

Her mother is in denial, and is in no position, legally, to decide what care her daughter gets. Her husband has that responsibility and he should immediately exercise it by getting her the help she so desperately needs.

Sounds like her mother is a little wacky, too.

she needs to be evaluated soon by a psych clinic or even admited to a psych ward. Sounds like she could be a harm to herself or others, which is reason enough to committment to a psych ward until she is stable.

take her to the emergency room and get her a mental evauluation--do it now before she hurts her girls or herself!!!
