I have a mild cold (sore throat and cough) and I have cooked for my cousin who has been under surgery recently. I was very careful in terms of not coughing close to the food and so on, but still am no sure weather I should give her the food or not. The food was on the stove cooking constantly for 2-3 hours then was in the refrigerator for 6-7 hours (since last night).

Survival of HIV?
How long will hiv survive when exposed to the air. For example, if a pair of scissors had some drops of HIV infected blood on it, for how long will the hiv in the blood stay viable and infectious?? Can you post also some websites to support your answers? Thanks

Is there actually a high risk of catching a bad disease from eating something a cat has licked or put their mouth on, due to all the germs a cats mouth contains (mice etc.)?

Also food is disgusting to me, and most of my calories during this time have been coming from coke. The doctors in this country are overworked and unhelpful and just told me to go home and wait for it to go away. What might I have? The fever is cyclic, going up and down almost every other day.

Does it start in the demis and work its way up and out of the skin or does it start in the epidermis? I have burnt this thing off 4 times now and I am about to go to general surgery to get this thing excised off of my otherwise pretty hand.

A girl came to work today long enough to cough her head off, sneeze, lay with her head on the desk and then I told her to go home. She has been sick with a flu like virus.
This was all at about 7 am this morning.
I just got home, it is 10 pm and I am getting a scratchy throat, and starting to feel cold and sick.
Could she have given me whatever she has?

I have a friend who just got a positive HIV test, and has been asked to go back for more to check it isn't false. She says she has always been faithful to her husband, and I don't doubt her. Is it possible that she contracted it by giving CPR without a resuss. mask? I am also a lifeguard, and sometimes it's just not possible to get one in the heat of the moment. If someone is sick in your mouth could you contract it?
