Can you use augmentin to treat Ecoli?

Just wondering...and I mean for humans

no...you may use metronidazole instead ...for ecoli

Augmentin belongs to the penicillin group and is mainly for Gram- positive infections, while E. coli is Gram- negative. Nalidixic acid, phosphomycin and ciprofloxacin are better for E. coli.
