25 Million dead, 5.6 million of those children since the beginning of the epidemic. Millions more orphaned when their parents die. 10,000 a day die from this treatable, preventable disease. But it preys in poverty, neglect, drug abuse, hopelessness, and ignorance.

What can we do, what will YOU do to help overcome this epidemic that has become a plague like no other that is ravaging Africa, South America, India, China, Russia and yes, the United States.

We've overcome major diseases in the past, this disease is worse then all the rest, almost killed more then all the wars of the 20th century..... And yet? Every life matters! Just as if it was your own friend, mother, child that was suffering and dying.

Please consider the impact of this disease and what we can do to overcome it. Please post your solutions to this issue, learn what you can do to help and take action! Please do not wait for your government to do something, what can we do?

Thank you,
-Rob

If you know the giver does not have herpes, is it safe without a condom? Now I know there are different types of herpes that can turn into more contagious herpes. Can a simple open sore in someone's mouth lead to genital herpes?

I've always wondered why the most deadly diseases usually have a not-too-efficient means of transmissal. Imagine ebola being air-borne, cancer being transmitted by body contact or AIDS being air-borne.

What do you think the situation would be like if these diseases suddenly mutate to include the above means of transmissal.

Wondering if anyone knows if it is possible to get sick after having a tb test. My daughter and I decided to volunteer at our local nursing home and were required to take a tb test. 3 days after we both became ill with naseua and fever, but our test came back negative. Could this be a side effect from the test, or just plain luck?

been struggling with MRSA for about a year now, taken several different antibio. clendamycin, bactrim, Septra, Doxicycline, all of this after an ititial 9 day cleocin via IV. I finally decided to see a different doctor.....maybe he knows what he's doing...you could understand my skepticism at this point...but, he has me on Rifampin, 1200mg. a day and Bactim 1200mg aday....I don't think I have had this high of a dosage as of yet....it's really drained the life out of me....anyway, also concerned after reading about the Rifampin...that its mainly used for treating active TB.....anyway, at this point...nothing really makes sense at all......and of course, im not a doctor or nurse.....sooooo, if anyone has any input on this I would really appreciate it.......I know EVERY case of MRSA is different...but.....I would like to get some info.....anyone had or anyone know someone who has been successfully treated for MRSA, if so, fill me in please. thanks a bunch yall, sincerely.

It would be useful to have a gadget that checks the levels of bacteria in and around your bed, so you could take the appropriate action. Its seems all uk hospitals are very unclean and you take your life in your own hands going into one.

Also, for visitors, something to stop them walking through the door untill they use the achol gel. I recently was visting someone and the amount of people that just walked past the gel was amazing.

I have BIG issues with my sinus's and drainage is causing my throat to become sore. My ears are terribly clogged up with mucas and my nose won't stop running! Please help! What foods should I eat, and what foods should I stay away from? I haven't eaten for 6 hours, and I'm starving!
