I have had mono for about 3 weeks now. My antibody levels were at 2500. Normal is 99. Is this normal with Mono? My doctor didnt tell me much. She said it was indictive of Mono. I just wanted a second opinion possibly from a professional on here or someone who has had the virus.Thank you!

yes, this is normal with mono...you need to rest even if you feel like dancing.
there is not yet a test to definately indicate mono, she is just going by your antibody levels-infection fighting cells.
i do know they are trying to develope a test tho, to screen blood donations.

The infection is so easily diagnosed by physical and cells in a blood smear I have no idea why do an antibody level. Three weeks is a long course. You should be well now.
