yes, it is possible. With the vaccine, he will either not get it or get a very mild case of it.

Definitely not. my son, 30 yrs. old, just had shingles, MD said if you had chicken pox or have been vaccinated against them you can not get chicken pox from someone who has shingles. However, if you never had chicken pox or were vaccinated, you can get chicken pox. the only way you can get shingles is if you had chicken pox before. shingles is the chicken pox virus that settles in the body along a nerve. Can become activated by trauma or stress or a virus.

Even though your child has been vaccinated, he may get chicken pox, athough a smaller case -- (70%-90% effective -- see below)
But your question was about if shingles was contageous that way --
from http://hcd2.bupa.co.uk/fact_sheets/Mosby_factsheets/shingles.html
"Shingles is not infectious in the same way as chickenpox, where the virus can be passed on in coughs and sneezes. However, shingles is contagious. This means it can be passed on by direct contact. Fluid from shingles blisters can cause chickenpox in people who are not already immune. People with shingles should avoid those with a lowered immunity."
So... I'd stay away from him in a direct contact sort of way if you have shingles that are able to be touched.

People only get shingles if they have had chicken pox at some time. The virus lays domant and shows it self as shingles if you are run down, stressed, etc. No your child will not get chicken pox.

Not if he's vaccinated. Shingles is just a nastier re-actvation of your chicken pox (that you've never gotten rid of. Once we get chick pox, we never get rid of the virus..just goes dormant for awhile). So it's posible you can infect someone with chicken pox -- But not someone who's vaccinated against chicken pox.

No once you are immunized you do not run the risk of getting it again. Ive heard its real real painful to have shingles as an adult. I took care of a lady in a nursing home who had shingles and she complained of the pain alot. I surly didn't discount what she said either, I felt real bad for her. Those are the times you wish you really help someone and you cant do a thing!

Shingles is an adult thing and it comes when the body's immune system is very low. It is not very infectious, just make sure the child doesn't touch them. That goes for yourself too. Don't touch the shingles and then rub your face, it can be transmitted around your own body. Always make sure you wash your hands.

Vaccination is irrelevant. It is a complete hoax, and very dangerous. Avoid vaccination at all cost. Search for vaccination, and have a good read. You will find two points of view. One from all the government departments, which says that vaccination is good, and one from independent people which will say that vaccination is very dangerous. Don't forget, we have a lying corrupt government
