no it is not safe without a condom and it is not safe with a condom either. if the person you are having oral sex with is having an outbreak of herpes and you have any contact whatsoever whether it is oral or genital contact, you can get herpes. a condom may not cover a herpes outbreak as the outbreak may be located on areas other than the penis. so if you are performing oral sex and your tongue becomes in contact with the area of the outbreak, then you can get it, and you will get it orally, which is a real pain. if you arent wearing a condom and you have sex with someone and have an outbreak, you can spread it by gential to genital contact during sex. however, you must have an outbreak to be contagious - you cant catch it from someone unless they have an outbreak at the time. but before i went and had sex with someone who had herpes, i would still be very careful and use a condom or inspect the area very carefully to make sure they arent having an outbreak at the time so you dont catch it. it is your call.

herpes infection can be either a primary infection or recurrent infection. There tends to be 2 types of herpes Simplex virus Type I and Type 2. Type I is associated with oral lesions and type 2 is more associated with genital lesions. All herpes are contagious and in theory you can spread both diseases without having overt symptoms (Herpes type 2 can be spread through contact with the cervix and Herpes type 1 can be found in 5% of carriers in the back of the throat).
Also deppending on the type of sexual contact and who is infected - it is possible to spread type 1 herpes to the genital area via oral sex and type 2 to the mouth by the similar method.
So to answer your questions- once you have been infected with the herpes virus-- there is no sure way to prevent infection of type 1 or type 2 hepes without a condom (even without active lesions), and all herpes infections can be contagious and finally an open sore can spread herpes to the genital region.
I hope this explains how herpes is transmitted and why if you know that you or your partner have been infected with herpes in the past-- protection should be used.
Fortunately-- there are now treatments for the Herpes viurs to treat the primary infection and to prevent reactivation (but you need to stay on the medication).
Hope this info has been helpful

If someone has oral herpes they can pass it from their mouth to someones genitals. It can be passed even if the giver does not have an oral outbreak, it can even be passed if the person has never had an oral outbreak. If there is an open sore, then the chances of getting gential herpes is very high. Hope this answers your question.

If your partner does not have any type of herpes you should be fine, even if you have an open sore. However it would wouldn't be safe to have oral sex with an open sore now would it. Herpes is not the only contagous thing out there. So Becareful

You can give someone genital herpes from a herpes simplex cold sore on your mouth. And there is no cure for genital herpes. Really, I would stay away from that if you have any questions at all. Someone can be symptom free and still have herpes, by the way. So, you may think you know that they don't have herpes when they really do.

If you give him oral, then kiss him, and then he goes down on you, then the answer is yes.
Second way is that if you finger her, then touch yourself....then yes.
Third way...he ejaculates into your eye...You can get genital herpes in the eye, and nose. This is the same type of tissue that is down there so it is possilble.
Forth way, you do 69 and switch and then switch back. Think about it.
CDC statistics 42% of blacks have genital herpes and about 30% of white women have genital herpes, just wait till marriage.
Dont use a vibrator that someone else ever used even if they cleaned it in bleach.
If you do...use a female condom on the man, covers more of the hair around it.
If male, use surran wrap double coated on woman

Yes.
It's caused from the friction. NOT from swapping fluids. That's why you should use a condom during oral sex also. They have flavored ones for added fun.
Yes, it could. Depends on the type of herpes. There is the common cold sore type - which is harmless. But, you don't want the other one there no cure and it gets really nasty. Just do a google search. I'm not going to do that for you...sorry, it's just too gross.
