-Drinking hot cinnamon tea.
-Increase in vitamin C.
-Lots of rest – avoid work.
-Keep warm and take warm baths.
-Breathing in steam with eucalyptus.
-Keep hands clean – use antibacterial gel.
-Spray your home with disinfectant.
-Take Echinacea daily until the cold is gone.
-Eat more garlic or use garlic tablets.
-Take olive leaf extract capsules.
-Avoid raw sugar, wheat and dairy.
-Eat more spicy foods.
-Take zinc to help your immune system.

Once you have a cold you can't just get rid of it, you will have to ride it out. It only usually takes about three days and you will be back in good health.
To prevent a cold, make sure that you are taking plenty of Vitamin C.
A cold is just a virus - there could be other complications that will make the symptoms last longer - but they are just complications rather than the cold.
At this time of year? Are you sure that it isn't an allergy rather than a cold? Often called 'Hay fever' but not necessarily caused by hay - we are in the reaping season - do you have any crop fields near to you - that could be the answer.
Regardless of all these suggestions, if you have it you will only be able to get relief from it - not get rid of it.
See you pharmacist - they will help you.

There ARE ways. - Drinks lots and lots of lemon juice. Either straight as a shot, or lots in your water. This will give you lots of energy and alkalizes your body. Germs cannot live in an alkaline environment. Not to mention it's loaded with vitamin C! - Buy AHCC from your vitamin store. It's expensive, but it's expensive for a reason - it works wonders. It's been studied to boost your immune system dramatically, so much so that it's even used on cancer patients and those with severe viruses. Take the max dose before very meal. - This sounds bogus, but research it and you'll find it's true - cut up an onion and leave it on a plate throughout your bedroom or wherever you're spending most of your time. Onions absorb toxins from the air, one of the reasons you should never eat an onion that's been sitting out in your fridge. - Rub tea tree oil on the bottom of your feet before you go to bed, and cover with socks. This will clear up your sinuses and overall make you feel better (doesn't sound like it would work, but trust me, it does!) You will feel better after this!

There is no actual cure for the common cold. However, you can help your body fight the infection with the best stuff around - vitamin C, and the best source is fresh orange juice and oranges. The secret is in the pulp. I have used the same thing every time I had a cold and I am over it in a couple of days. Just keep up on your vitamins. Pills, orange drinks...don't work the same.

Having a cold is a nightmare but you can help it clear if you do this:
- have lots of vitamin C. Do this by eating oranges and lemons and other citrus fruits. Also you can have lemon tea (lemon and hot water)
- breath lots of steam. Steam clears the mucus in the nose so u can breath properly. You can also boil water and put some Vick in it so you get the strong smell from the Vick in the steam.
- take hot baths. Hot baths relaxes the muscles in you're body and the steam from the bath will clear you're nose. Remember don't make it too hot for you.
- eat more spicy and hot food. This will definitely warm you up!
Try these and get back to me if these work!!

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.
Luckly there is a cure for herpes https://tr.im/d316d

1) REST
2) FLUIDS! DRINK LOTS OF FLUIDS.
THATS ALL you can do. Everything else is bunk. (Now, the zinc may help ONLY if you use it as soon as the cold begins, otherwise it's a big waste...But more importantly they have linked the nasal zinc products to problems with temporary and permanant loss of smell! I wouldn't do it anyways.)
FYI, this vitamin C stuff is bogus. Linus Pauling, (Nobel Prize in Chemistry) was a smart chemist, and went around touting vitamin C as the greatest thing on the planet...remedy for cold...etc Unfortunately, he ws a brilliant chemist but NOT an MD. Taking Vitamic C won't hurt...but if you take to much, your basically just passing it all through your urine. Commonly refered to as "expensive urine". Meanwhile other vitamins, specifically the fat solubles, can become toxic if overused. if you do take vitamins..just stick with a regular multivitamin.

Take lots of Vit C 1000mg at least, you can get it in Boots. Eat healthy. Eat lots of fruit. Take Paracetamol, Lemsip. Get fresh air, sitting in a house with no windows open wont do you any good. Drink plenty of water. Consider having a flu injection if you get regular colds and boost your immune system by taking Zinc tabs

Only time. You can't get rid of a cold with remedies. You can only alleviate the symptoms.

Go to bed, keep warm, drink lots of tea/coffee/orange juice or water, take a paracetamol. Also the occasional breathing in of 'steam' from hot (but not too hot) water - with maybe a bit of vicks or something similar in it.
