Does anyone know any good motion sickness remedies? I am going to be traveling on a plane for the first time in 8 years and the last time I was on a plane I nearly threw up. I get motion sickness quite easily. Even in automobiles, (unless I'm driving).
I've heard of tablets you can take, is there anything else?
Thanks for your help in advance.

Tis the season to be sick. How can you prevent getting sick when you have been around sick people? I eat healthy and exercise to keep my immune system healthy, but I still seem to get whatever germs and viruses that are going around.

The illness started on November 6th with extreme diaherra and vomitting, but no fever. This lastest for 3 weeks. We took him to the doctor and they kept telling me it was a virus. Well, the diaherra and vomitting stopped and he now has a high fever of 104 and no energy. We took him back to the doctor and did mono tests, pnemonia X-rays, and urinalysis. They all came back normal, but the doctor says that the white blood cell count is elevated. What does this mean and why can we not control the fever with adult strength tylenol and motrin(per the doctor). We have been in and out of the hospital to rehydrate him through IV's and even followed up with a GI doctor, which said everything looks good to him, but it his diaherra and vomitting got worse to bring him back in. What steps should we take next. The poor child is sick of being sick. We as parents are exhausted from worrying and being up late nights with him. Any nurses or doctors advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Is there anything going on physiologically / biochemically that would account for a person becoming really depressed or prone to crying while sick?

I've been sick with the flu for over a week, and now bronchitis, and I find myself extremely sad at times, and crying -- sobbing even -- at the drop of a hat. Is that normal?

My cat got bit a few days ago and we're going to take him to the vet but in the meantime i'm not sure what to do. He got bit by the ear and his whole face is swolen... i rubed his cheek and puss came out of his bite. i then rubbed his whole face and it came shooting out with blood and puss. We can't get him to the vet fast enough. What kind of infection do you think it is?

My dad is in liver failure from Hep C and he went into the hospital in August and was in a coma for over a week, we were told that 90% of his brain was dead tissue and that we should consider pulling the plug. He would never wake up. He had a TIPPS shunt put into his liver to stop the bleeding and they told us that it would make him foggy from a build up of amonia in his system, but that it wouldn't happen for awhile. After he woke up he wasn't the same person, he can't remember things, he forgot my moms name and they have been married over 30 years, and he has a short temper and some days he is so foggy that he doesn't know whats up or down. He is on a lot of different meds to keep the amonia levels down but even on good days he isn't the person I knew. He used to be very independent but know he requires constant supervision. My question is to anyone out there that has been through this, Does it get better after the transplant or will he be foggy forever?

My daughter was playing in one of those indoor play areas at the mall in Paradise Valley. When I went to get her so we could leave she had a big brown stain on her shirt. It kind of looked like chocolate but I couldn't tell what it was for sure so I licked it.
Well, it wasn't chocolate. It was some kid's poop. Could I have just contracted Hep A?

Anyway, she is allergic to penicillin, but the mother wont tell me what she is taking. It is her week to keep the kids. And, why she doesnt know what the child is allergic to is beyond me!!
