Is anyone else getting freaked out by all the E.Coli stories?! What is the problem? How do you protect yourself from this stuff? First I read Fast Food Nation, now I hear this stuff, so I'm finding it easy to avoid fast food!! I guess that's one good thing but, it's not only fast food, is it? Terrible!

When you go to hospital say for an Operation or anything that they have to take blood for exluding a hiv test, do they automatically test your blood for HIV anyways?

I work in a call center around about a hundred people. I recently got a head cold about two weeks ago, but it finally went away. Well, now here I am two weeks later, and I have a head AND chest cold! This is so unfair, but anyway. I'm just trying to figure out some ways to prevent this. I use hand sanitizer like crazy, I wash my hands a lot, and I get plenty of vitamin C...and yet I'm still getting sick! Any suggestions?

I was going out with someone recently who was big into blood tests to prove fidelity ..didnt work out ..he contacted me to say he was ill with a disease Herpes and said I gave it to him I know I didnt but I wondered if he had it maybe he gave it to me ..so I got tested ..I am fine now ..3 months down the road he says it was a lie so I would get a test to prove I had nothing ...I dont know what is the truth ...and he wonders why I am mad at him...he says he did it so I would prove I love him by getting a test done ..is he mad ...what do I need to do ..he needs help

As a child I had the mmr vaccine. When i was about 8, I had mumps.
Is the mmr vaccine supposed to stop you getting mumps completely or can you still get them but they are less severe?
I also read that childhood mumps can lead to infertility in men. Is this true and is it just men or women too?

I have either the flu or bronchitis or similar and have a painful burning in my throat and cough and want to take some of my Tussionex prescribed on 12/27/2005. It's almost a full year later - 12/11/2006. Is it still good/safe to take? Thanks for any information you can provide.

My Mom has a external growth in the bowel movements.She does not have the problems of constibation or bleeding.She went to a physician last week and the physician referred a ointment.After the usuage of the ointment the external growth has become much smaller.Is this can be said as piles or what is this?

How is Hep C transmitted through sex? Isn't it only spreadable through blood? I am supposing that this means it spread through sex when blood is involved. Is this correct? Also, is my family at risk of contracting Hep C from another family member?

What is the difference between strep and a cold? Obviously I have had both in the past. I am not sure which i have. I know a lot of people around me in the past few weeks have had colds. My throat hurts but is getting better. One of my glands is still swollen. I have a runny nose and might have a low fever. Anyone?

Last night i was trying to get into my condo that i 've noticed a white bird (smaller than a parrot) sitting outside my door. Was raining and i took the bird inside. It's a domestic bird (comes to hand,etc.), howerver, he scratches himself a lot and it's got some redness on the head and around the neck. It also sheds a lot.
Since i don't know where the bird is coming from, i am a little afraid that he might carry the birdflue virus.

Is that possible? Am i a little too worried? Any idea how i can make sure the bird is not sick, until i find his owner?

What does it feel like? My dad had one the other day and he was awake the entire time. The doctors only gave him benadryl and valumns that I know of. But he was awake the entire time, and he even had a stent put in.
