Last night i was trying to get into my condo that i 've noticed a white bird (smaller than a parrot) sitting outside my door. Was raining and i took the bird inside. It's a domestic bird (comes to hand, etc.), howerver, he scratches himself a lot and it's got some redness on the head and around the neck. It also sheds a lot.
Since i don't know where the bird is coming from, i am a little afraid that he might carry the birdflue virus.

Is that possible? Am i a little too worried? Any idea how i can make sure the bird is not sick, until i find his owner?

thanks.

He may have a skin irritation. My best guess is for you to take him to the vet. It may be something serious but its probaly not.

Its probably not the avian flu but you still should call and report it to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention at 1-800-232-4636 or the health department. If you have a N-95 mask I would put that on and wash your hands after handling the bird.

The bird just has an allergy,
U may want to wipe the bird's feather down in aloe vera gel, warm the gel up
This will make it more healthier.
Looks like God sent u a special friend, forget the owners if no tag is on the bird unless there is a missin bird reward out there.
