While it sounds like an allergy you must be guided by your child's paediatrician, as he/she will give you better information about the pros and cons of having the vaccine.

But ultimately it is up to you, and if you wish to have baby vaccinated. Ask the paediatrician if he/she will administer it in Hospital.

My daughter as a baby had an allergic reaction to German measles MMR vaccines. When she was a teenager, we were given the choice of put her in children's hospital, or avoid it all together. Her paediatrician and I felt that as she had her first few shots, that we would not give it to her.

Good luck

It doesn't sound like it was a very severe reaction. If the doctor thinks its okay, then I would go ahead and vaccinate. Generally speaking, its safer to get the vaccine than to get the disease.

For more information call the Centers for Disease Control Immunization Program at 1-800-232-4636 or visit their website.

Sounds to me like your doctor doesn't know what he is talking about. If your child seems to be uncomfortable I would get a second opinion from another doctor (Thats not in the same office as your current doctor) and/also contact your local health department

my daughter was the same after all her vaccines, the nurse or doctor administering the injection should have warned you of any side affects its perfectly normal for children to have a reaction its something totally different in their systems. if still worried talk to another doctor.

If he had an allergic reaction to the vaccine, he should not be given another dose.

I would get the full series of shots, but premedicate with tylenol and benadryl to try to prevent any reaction.
